Bad to Worse

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans: It's an irrefutable fact that disabled and homeless Veterans, and their deeded land, are worse off now than when we started the Veterans Revolution in their behalf on March 9, 2008, "To Save Our Veterans Land" and to "Bring Our Homeless Veterans HOME."
After trusting VA bureaucrats and Plaintiff attorneys with their behind-closed-door "settlement agreement," our war-injured and impoverished Veterans are forced to continue living homeless and hungry in despicable and inhumane conditions while non-Veteran entities continue to manipulate and occupy these sacred grounds under the ruse of "honoring our veterans." Yesterday, I approached volunteers of the upcoming AIDS bicycle event who were on the Grand Lawn of VA property. They had shovels and hoes and were filling in the gopher holes for the benefit of their upcoming event. They said they will do this every day in order to fill the holes and suppress the gophers. They said they were given permission by Richmark Entertainment Group, which underscores who controls the Grand Lawn .... and it's not the VA. In fact, the VA controls very little land at the largest VA in the nation -- it's controlled by non-Veteran special interest groups for their own benefit. This morning at 4 AM I was going to breakfast at Norm's Diner and passed by the VA's Grand Lawn area on San Vicente Boulevard and noticed a lot of water on the sidewalk adjacent to the VA fence. I parked my car and saw watering spigots spraying all over the front lawn and overflowing onto the sidewalk. I took some photos the best I could with my limited camera and during the dark of night. See attached photos ....

While everyone else is being ordered to ration water, the VA squanders it for the benefit of non-Veteran events, and instead of building emergency shelter for homeless Veterans on this same grassed lawn. Moreover, while every concession is made to accommodate non-Veteran entities, the Old Veterans Guard continues to be harassed by VA police who are sent by malicious and retaliatory VA bureaucrats because we are continuing to expose the Truth. Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9, (VVA9) applied for a land-use license permit three months ago to Host an emergency "Welcome Home Reception Center" hospitality triage with a long-term Stand Down. A couple days ago the VA finally responded, after they were sent copies of the Stand Down Manual and Guide produced by Vietnam Veterans of San Diego. The VA refused to issue a license agreement to VVA9, but is now plagiarizing the Manual / Guide to implement their own "time limited Stand Down" including a "modified Stand Down on Sunday afternoons." There's no end as to how deceptive the VA can be towards Veterans who offer bona fide solutions for the greater good of our Veterans. The VA recently accommodated storage for 100 new cars for Mazda of Santa Monica along with accommodating an AIDS bicycle event that will be held on June 6th, the same day as the revered Anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy by allowing more than 5,000 people to converge on Veterans land. On the other hand, two Veterans cannot discuss this serious misappropriation of VA land without being retaliated against by VA police that were ordered to intervene. More VA Land Misappropriation and More Retaliation Against Veterans Nor will the VA issue citations against the multitude of illegal signs on VA property but will send police outside the VA to order the Old Veterans Guard to remove an American Flag hanging on the front gate in honor of Memorial Day. Same American Flag … Different Story The VA continues with its selective enforcement and double-standard practices of protecting non-Veterans and retaliating against Veterans. Let there be no misunderstanding: VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald surrendered Veterans land back to the enemy who illegally occupy this land, so sayeth a Federal Judgment. These non-Veteran operatives continue to occupy this land and immorally ignore the agreed-upon "exit strategy," and have even expanded their occupation at the expense of thousands upon thousands of homeless Veterans. Next week, VA Secretary McDonald will be in Los Angeles to dedicate the rehabbed Building 209, a formerly vacant, rat-infested ramshackle that will house 65 formerly homeless Veterans at the cost of $20 million and two and a half years of patch work. He'll also dedicate Building 257 as a "drop in" center for 35 homeless Veterans. Anybody know where Building 257 is? Neither do tens of thousands of homeless Veterans, but all they have to do is find it and "drop in" and Viola, their problems are over -- 35 rooms will solve the problem. Beware of anyone who supports the so-called "settlement agreement." What we're witnessing today is a simple band-aid being used for a massive wound that cannot heal until we get a new Doctor. Memo to VA Secretary McDonald: No more deceptive photo-ops that treat your ego instead of healing our Veterans. When you come here next week, do your Honorable Duty to our Country and announce your resignation and admit that you failed big-time when you surrendered our Veterans land back to the enemy, i.e., your wealthy and powerful friends. Veterans had won a long-fought and long-sought victory but you gave it back to the very robber barons that stole it to begin with. After more than seven years of righteous defense of this land, you came in overnight and destroyed everything. Since you were appointed, everything has gone from bad to worse. Do the right thing Mr. McDonald and resign, posthaste! God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
