The up-and-down relationship between President Obama and Democratic predecessor Bill Clinton is back on the upswing. Clinton is getting a prime time speaking slot at the convention that renominates Obama in early September -- it's part of the current president's plan to promote his economic policy with the help of a predecessor who presided over a boom economy in the 1990s. "President Clinton oversaw the longest economic expansion in U.S. history, pursuing many of the same policies that President Obama is proposing and implementing today," said Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who chairs the Democratic convention to be held Sept. 3-6 in Charlotte.”The danger, of course, is that Bill Clinton will remind voters of just how incompetent and dismally ineffective Obama has been! Voters may also legitimately ask, “If FORWARD is the way to go, Why Is Obama going BACK to the last Century for Help?” After all, Bill Clinton is sooooooooo 20th Century. Voters may also wonder, "When will Obama mature to the point where he can stand on his own two feet? Will he ever be able to handle the presidency with skill and ability and without blaming W. Bush and using Clinton as a crutch?" And, "Since going backwards is now cool, wouldn't the nation be better off with Hillary Clinton as the nominee?" Reference, USA Today John W. John W. Lillpop is a recovering liberal. “Clean and sober” since 1992 when last he voted for a Democrat. For years, John lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, the very liberal sanctuary city which protects, rather than prosecutes, certain favored criminals. John escaped the Bay Area in May and now lives in Pine Grove California where conservative values are still in vogue.
