When Catholic institutions of higher learning support sinful events, they engage in a form of spiritual suicide. The faith is injured.

‘Drag Show’ forced on Catholic students at University of San Diego

Something sacrosanct is being stolen from the University of San Diego: its Catholic identity replaced by open mockery of the God-made distinction between male and female. At the University of San Diego--a Catholic institution in southern California--it’s homosexuals out of the closet, and Catholic students forced into the closet; a live act of discrimination in reverse that university administration is celebrating for a fourth successive year.
“For a fourth year, basic Catholic teaching and moral decency will be pushed into the closet at the University of San Diego to make way for the aggressive demands of the homosexual agenda. (John Ritchie,TFP Student Action Director, March 20, 2015) “According to the university's web site, the April 16 "drag show" event will be "PRIDE's Celebration of Gender Expression: Supreme Drag Superstar IV." This year's edition will predictably include more of the same offensive behavior witnessed before: men dressing as women, immoral behavior and the open mockery of Catholic moral values.” That the far left celebrates how their upside-down world is being ushered in on Catholic university campuses comes from last year’s “drag show” song called ‘Good N'Evil,’ which claims that "Good is evil" and "all evil is good." ‘Good N’Evil’ was belted out by a ‘drag show’ performer who appeared on stage dressed with a devil-horned headdress, a Baphomet lookalike gyrating sensually during delivery of the song. Imagine the abuse of TFP Student Action members in a campus environment that pushes to legitimize and promote the homosexual movement above everything else, and whose website offers a wide range of “LGBT Resources”, recognizing multiple pro-homosexual groups which enjoy the favoured support of faculty members and students alike, including PRIDE, Rainbow Educators, Safe Space Allies, LGBT Action Group and PRIDE Law, but few programs--or even tolerance--for Catholic teaching.

In the everyone-but-Catholic-diversity University of San Diego, the university’s Office of Financial Aid also posts its scholarships offers.  One of those scholarships is for the Bisexual Foundation and offers $1,000 for "advancing research on the psychology of bisexuality."  Another pro-homosexual scholarship award from PFLAG San Diego is advertised as well.  Those who qualify must be "self-identified gay and lesbian students." Fault lines in their drag shows are as obvious as the cracks in the makeup of the dancing drag queens: TFP has been showing students how to jump back out of the closet and are asking for public support of a petition. “Catholic attorney, Charles LiMandri, formed the Alumni for a Catholic USD and has been leading annual protests against this offensive event. Responding to LiMandri's concern, the Vatican Congregation for Education issued a letter in 2014, calling this drag show a "scandal," adding that "this congregation intends to act through administrative channels to the competent ecclesiastical authority in San Diego." (Ritchie) "When Catholic institutions of higher learning support sinful events, they engage in a form of spiritual suicide.  The faith is injured.  The truth is severely harmed and undermined.  And Catholic students are led away from the true faith," Ritchie observed. "To restore the honor of USD, we need to pray for heroes like Saint Thomas More -- that God will send us saints to stand against the Sexual Revolution and fight the trend of moral relativism," Ritchie stated.  "Right now -- sadly -- we have too many Richard Riches and not enough Saint Thomas Mores.  May God and the Blessed Virgin Mary inspire more young souls to stand up and fight for moral values in society."
