McCain: Hey, I'm all in for this Republican tax cut plan!

McCain: Hey, I'm all in for this Republican tax cut plan! I'd rather have to admit a mistake like this than have the thing fail because McCain confirmed my worst expectations of him. Looks like I'll be heading up to the counter here at Atomic Coffee in downtown Royal Oak to see if I can get that crow on a croissant. Then again, McCain is committing to vote for a tax bill whose final form we might not know. He'll support the bill that came out of committee yesterday, but will that be the final bill? If not, does McCain still support it? Or does he claim he was willing before some unforeseen tragedy forced him to revert to his usual sabotagy way?
I'll believe it when there's actually a floor vote and he's a yes. But for now, at least he says he's on board:
Sen. John McCain said Thursday he’ll support the GOP tax plan, moving President Trump’s major legislative priority one step closer to passage. The Arizona Republican who famously helped kill ObamaCare repeal legislation and was considered a possible holdout on the tax bill, said he has decided it benefits his constituents and all Americans. “After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to support the Senate tax reform bill,” McCain said in a statement. “I believe this legislation, though far from perfect, would enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide long overdue tax relief for middle class families.”
OK, Senator. Whatever you say. Let's see what happens when we go through a few news cycles and Chuck Schumer has a chance to pull him aside for a little talky-poo. I want to believe. But believing John McCain is a fool's errand.
