Trump says he'll release classified JFK files

JFK FILES
This could be gigantic. Or it could be Al Capone's vaults. And since Trump apparently plans to release some of the files but hold back others because they contain information too sensitive to be unveiled, that could lead to even more conspiratorial theories that the real truth is in the stuff that was held back. Say, come to think of it, the swamp leaks classified information like it's coffee in a cup with a crack if it's embarrassing to Trump. Why is it so dutiful about protecting what's in these files? Anyway, it looks like we'll soon find out . . . something:
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that, subject to receipt of further information, he planned to allow the opening of long-secret files on the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy that are scheduled for release next week. Politico magazine earlier quoted Trump administration and other U.S. government officials as saying the president would almost certainly block the release of information from some of the thousands of classified files, which the U.S. National Archives is due to make public by an Oct. 26 deadline. “Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” Trump said in a tweet.
It's not as if none of the information in the JFK files have ever been released. A lot of been released over the years, and there's actually just a limited number still being held back that only the president himself can authorize. It may not even tell us anything about the actual assassination. It could just be background information about Oswald's activities in the time leading up to Kennedy's murder. I don't think this is a case of all other presidents protecting the shadowy secrets and Trump being the long-awaited man of the people who finally sheds light on the truth. Even so, he could have refused, and it's not like there's some massive public clamor for the information at the moment. Most people don't even realize it's there. But once you go on record, you're going to get people curious. It sounds like Trump will follow through. I have no idea what to expect, and neither do you.
