anti-american Canadian knives came out the same day Senator John Kerry conceded to a history-making President George W. Bush.
The vicious Canadian attack on the Bush administration arrived twofold. First came unabashed anti-american Liberal backbencher Carolyn Parrish, who said yesterday she was “dumbfounded” that americans re-elected a “war-like man” on Tuesday. Parrish concluded the vote sending Bush back to the White House for a second term, must be a “reflection of the profound psychological damage of 9/11,” reports said.
This election has demonstrated that the United States is “completely out of step with most of the free world,” media reports quoted her as saying, with no regrets expressed by boss Prime Minister Paul Martin.
The backbench Liberal re-elected last June in Mississauga-Erindale, a riding with a large Muslim representation, dared to dole advice to President Bush: “I think his immediate concern should be where he has soldiers dying.”
Recognized for a litany of anti-Bush--and anti-american in general—remarks, Parrish’s latest tirade follows Prime Minister Paul Martin’s pleas to members of his caucus to keep their personal reactions to President Bush’s re-election to themselves.
Post-election Canuck attack two comes in the form of a poll claiming that “most Canadians dislike Bush.”
Eight of 10 Canadians in Canada believe that america’s foreign policy is indicative of the behaviour of a “rogue nation” claims the poll. It also found that 85 percent of Canadians disagree that this country should do what it takes to regain its former international stature. Canadians differ from americans by placing diseases such as aIDS and SaRS ahead of terrorism as a threat to Canada’s vital interests. “These differences complicate life between neighbours. When two countries view their external threats so differently, it can be hard to find common ground,” says the report conducted for the Dominion Institute and the Canadian Defence and Foreign Institute.
Both Institutes failed to state that there has been no terrorist attack in Canada, which with its marginalized military, would be forced to depend on the United States in the event of one ever happening.
The poll, released to CanWest News Service and revealed the day after the precedent setting american election, states that Canadians’ dislike for the U.S. administration is so strong that almost one-third now believe that the U.S. is a force for evil in the world.
Canada Free Press believes that the poll is the UN-loving Liberal government’s way of showing its disdain for the United States by suggesting that a majority of the Canadian population is against americans.
Canada Free Press, accuses backbencher Parrish of publicly disgracing average Canadians without their blessing and insists that she lacks the credentials to advise President Bush is launching the Can Carolyn Campaign.
