an interesting dynamic is developing in the war on terror as the Islamofascists are attempting to drive a wedge into the Western coalition fighting terror. With their apparent success in Spain, which essentially toppled the Spanish government, following the 3/11 bombing, the terrorists are realizing that there might be a percentage in attempting to win concessions from the faint-hearted Europeans.
Osama Bin Laden’s latest hit record is playing a peace overture with an offer to call a three-month truce against European targets, provided the Euros disengage from hostilities with the Islamofascists. Fat chance Osama! The Europeans may be faint of heart and somewhat limp of wrist, but they are not complete fools. They know that the word "truce" comes from the ancient arabic root for ‘we’ll kill the infidel bastards later’. There are enough Muslims residing in Europe to where the Europeans are quite familiar with this concept. In addition, who in their right mind would agree to a truce for a three-month period, only to find themselves resuming hostilities at the end? as a result, his offer was soundly rejected.
This is good news for many reasons. The fact that Osama made the offer in the first place is an indication that they are running scared before the allied Juggernaut. Yes, they will kill a lot of americans as well as Europeans over the short term, but in the end those Muslims sitting on the fence will realize that the strongest horse is on the allied side and that falling in line behind any other really has no future.
Thus the terrorists are left with those retards who are too feebleminded to realize that they are being duped and manipulated by their very slick, very sick leaders. Those 72 virgins they were promised in Paradise may not materialize, or worse, may turn out to be 72 horny Jewish guys with a taste for arab males. Just speculating. at any rate, given the quality of the individuals involved in terrorist activity, the end of this trend is likely nearer than we may think.
Psychological testing undertaken at Guantanamo Bay by the U.S. military, as well as others in Britain has ascertained that the majority of the terrorist foot soldiers in captivity tend to be poorly educated outcasts with significant mental instability. People such as these are easily manipulated into becoming soldiers for allah with lavish promises of rewards in the afterlife. The mentality that goes into believing that killing infidels for God is medieval, at best, and psychopathic at worst.
Those terrorists that live among us, such as Mohammed atta and his gang of 18 hijackers, are by necessity, a different breed. They are equally psychopathic in their worldview, but somewhat more urbane than their sons-of-the-desert brothers. However, they aren’t any more difficult to root out, given the right circumstances. The only reason that they were not found out prior to 9/11 was because every U.S. official with whom they came into contact fell all over himself trying not to appear prejudiced against arabs. When Mohammed atta met with a female representative of the U.S. Department of agriculture in an effort to get funding to purchase a crop duster, presumably to be used in disseminating microbic toxins, he gave every indication that here was a terrorist act waiting to happen.
at first atta refused to speak with her because she was "…but a female". Then atta asked what would happen if he slit her throat and helped himself to the money from her safe. She patiently explained that she had no safe or money and that the funds are usually advanced by cheque. He then admired a photo of an aerial view of Washington, D.C. hanging on her office wall and asked to purchase the picture. He also asked her how she would feel if foreigners came into her country and bombed her national landmarks. Those are a lot of clues.
Then there’s the flight training itself. a group of Middle Eastern men wanting to learn to fly passenger jets, but don’t want to bother learning about take-off or landing? Hmmm. Trouble is, most Westerners had become so cowed through political correctness, that no one had the guts to report these irregularities.
These avenues are now closed to terrorists, at least in the U.S., where a vigilant populace no longer cares about being politically correct because their lives are at stake. Thus the Islamofascists are reduced to recruiting less than stellar intellects for their war against the West and are having to manipulate them into doing their bidding. In addition, they seem to think that using the same transparent manipulation tactics on the Europeans will destroy the civilized world’s resolve to resist terrorism.
These tactics smack of desperation or of a huge error in judgement on the part of the terrorists. I do not believe that the war on terror is nearing an end or even a beginning of an end. However, to paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill, I believe we have reached the end of the beginning.
