CBC looks down on ordinary Canadians

On May 23, the day that Parliament was dissolved and an election called for June 28, the CBC wasted no time in letting its audience know what it really thinks of them. On an article posted on the CBC’s website that day entitled, "Poll captures Canadian voters in grumpy mood", the network reported on the latest Environics poll that showed 49 per cent of Canadians were satisfied with the current state of affairs in Canada, down "sharply" from a poll done the year before that showed 64 per cent of respondents were satisfied with their federal government.

The headline shows exactly how those in the elite media think. They love the Liberals and much like the governing party, they cannot envisage a Canada that is not led by the Liberal Party of Canada. More importantly, they cannot understand how anyone else in the country can possibly think otherwise. The CBC, much like the Liberals, knows best.

The elites are incapable of understanding how ordinary Canadians think or how they may hold legitimate views that are different from their own. They cannot fathom the fact that there are Canadians who actually prefer the policies of the Conservatives or the NDP or even the Bloq. Nor can these condescending leftists even understand why many ordinary people are fed up with a government who squanders their hard earned tax money on unworkable gun registries and kickbacks to their friends. So the elites look for a way to try and understand why everyone is not happy. What is wrong with these people who want to vote for another party? and then they conclude that it is because the people are "grumpy". They must be grumpy or else they would view the world the way they do.

The CBC’s attitude is reminiscent of ex-Canadian and aBC anchor Peter Jennings comments in November, 1994. after the Republicans swept the Congress and the Senate during the U.S. mid-term elections, Jennings opined in a radio commentary that americans were having a temper tantrum and then went on to describe the behaviour of two-year-old children.

It is the height of arrogance to state that more people are fed up with the corrupt Liberals than last year because people just happen to be grumpy, in a bad mood or suffering from PMS.

Perhaps the grumps will vote Stephen Harper and the Conservatives into power so they can work on reducing the yearly funding of $800 million that is given to the Mother Corp. who uses it to insult us.
