"allowing "anal Intercourse" with 14-Year-Olds" a resolution at the Liberal leadership convention<

Balloons and ballyhoo will mark the Liberal Leadership and Biennial Convention in Montreal starting on the 28th of November.

On a roll since the Democrats took over both Houses of US Congress two weeks ago, Canadian Liberals out in the wilderness since January 23, 2006, are poised for their big comeback.

While Howard Dean as keynote speaker has dominated the news, what's going to be dragged out of the Liberal closet is destined to be a shock to some average Canadians.

Leadership candidates Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae, former schoolmates, will deliver pretty speeches, along with the other candidates.

That's just the window dressing. The real stuff is in the resolutions up for approval.

"In what is likely a Canadian first for a major political party, the Liberal Party of Canada is proposing lowering the age of consent for "anal intercourse" in their publicly-released book of policy resolutions." (www.lifesite.net, Nov. 22, 2006).

"While still resolutions, the policies which have made it into the book have been carefully considered by party faithful. "The policy resolutions represent the culmination of a nine-month grassroots policy process that began at the riding level and has worked its way up to the national Convention," says a release on the resolutions." "

Liberal grassroots policy process obviously does not take into account the latest World Health Organization (WHO) tally of millions who die from HIV/aIDS, nor that sexual health experts have warned that anal intercourse is a recklessly dangerous activity, which is the "riskiest form of sexual activity when it comes to the transmission of HIV/aIDS."

"Nevertheless, a Liberal Party policy resolution, attributed to the British Colombia branch of the Party, calls for lowering the age of consent for such activity to 14-years of age. Policy 45 reads: "WHEREaS the current law discriminates against unmarried same-sex couples by not permitting unmarried persons under 18 to legally engage in consensual anal intercourse, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada urge the Federal Government of Canada to bring the age of consent for anal intercourse in equal pairing with other forms of sexual activity." The age of sexual consent for heterosexual intercourse in Canada is 14. (www.lifesite.net).

How many Canadian citizens working to rid their communities of prostitutes are aware that Liberal Resolution 45 calls for a review of the criminal code on prostitution with a view to legalizing the age-old practice?

That's freewheeling Liberals at work in the sex department.

Yet another Liberal resolution calls to make permanent so-called `safe houses' in major cities where heroin addicts can without fear of arrest shoot up with deadly drugs. That's Resolution 43 which states: ‘BE IT RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada take all steps necessary to establish a National Safe Injection Site program for large cities."

Nowhere in the Liberal Book is a resolution aimed to help parents protect their children from the sight of alleyway sex between prostitutes and their Johns; no resolution protecting children from drug-crazed residents of Safe Houses in their neighbourhoods.

Back again is the Liberal obsession with legalized marijuana. This time it comes in the form of a proposal of the Young Liberals of Canada seeking not only to legitimize the cannabis now produced in growing abundance at `gro' houses, but they also want to have the criminal records of those convicted of illegal possession since 1923 expunged.

Resolution No. 44 reads: BE IT RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada urges the Government of Canada to legalise (sic) and regulate Canada's marijuana industry and trade, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada urges the Government of Canada to examine the social consequences of granting amnesty to Canadians convicted of simple marijuana possession since 1923, and destruction of all criminal records related thereto."

Remember they're coming to a polling booth near you just as soon as they can come up with a plan to make the Prime Minister Stephen Harper-led government fall.

These are the same scandal-plagued Liberals whose minority government went down largely due to the multi-million dollar sponsorship scandal less than a year ago.

and just to think that their mainstream media friends call the Conservative prime minister, "scary Stephen".
