Independence Day:
The american Way

George Bush might celebrate Independence Day like most americans, with a back yard barbeque and fireworks, but he is working diligently to erase the borders that once secured america as a free independent nation. The United Nations and the European Union see america as only the Daddy Warbucks of some one world global commune they hope to run for the greater good of humanity, namely themselves.

The US Senate is squarely behind the global commune concept and the US House tilts towards independent sovereignty and security, but finds itself largely impotent in its efforts to thwart the federal socialist global agenda working its way across america via leftist news reporting and Hollyweird history hoaxes.

The US Supreme Court operates as some unelected supreme council made up of nine dictators, using international case law to administer american justice, imaginary interpretations of unwritten constitutional rights and remedies and politically motivated hogwash aimed at systematically replacing the constitutional independent power of the governed with an absolute oligarchy of the bench.

Illegal invaders march in our streets demanding their civil rights in a country they have broken into and have no business being in at all. People like Cindy Sheehan, John Murtha, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and Harry Reid demand we not only respect the rights of illegals to break and enter, but vote as well. They take aim at our own military daily while feeding anti-american talking points to enemies like Bin Laden. a growing number of americans are falling prey to an endless stream of anti-american propaganda peddled by their so-called press, at the command of the Democratic Party desperate to regain power before the party tent folds entirely, as it did once before in the early 1800s.

Our laws have been twisted to protect the guilty at the expense of the innocent, our inalienable right to life, replaced with a right to kill the defenseless unborn, aged or imperfect. Our personal and economic liberty has been replaced with a communal interest in a greater good and our individual right to define and pursue happiness, replaced with a federal right of our government to define and administer universal happiness of their will, not ours.

This is not what the founders had in mind at all… Many still celebrate the date, but not the ideals anymore.

Opinions vary on which founding document was the founding document. But in my opinion, no document carries with it the weight, breadth and depth of the Declaration of Independence. Everything else rests upon this rock. It didn't just establish a separation from England. It went far beyond. It established forever, that america would be a free, independent and sovereign nation in control of its own destiny and security, of and by its independent people, for benefit of securing their personal freedom, liberty and prosperity by the sweat of one's own brow.

It established the first real human rights on earth with these simple words, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." We have struggled to live up to these words, but these words set a clear goal and a path upon which we would strive to achieve the kind of freedom, liberty and equality that the founders could only dream about.

It established our right to form a government for the sole purpose of securing these ideas, "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," and provided that it was these fundamental ideas that must stand the test of time, that governments were at best temporary in that endeavor, "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Today we have anti-american moles operating inside of our intelligence agencies, our congress, our courts, our press and our universities. They cringe at the well earned title of un-american, but they have no shame about the anti-american agenda they promote, the ideals they seek to destroy or the lives they place in harm's way in pursuit of almighty political power. They prefer to be called patriots, even though they loathe real american principles like capitalism, personal liberty and self-reliance. There are too many attacks upon true american principles to list today. The deeds of these attackers are opposite that of any true patriot. But like marriage, a definition update can solve it all.

When you are grilling up your favorite meal, swilling your favorite adult beverage, enjoying fireworks with friends and family, try to remember the reason for this celebration. Try to think about all those who placed themselves in harm's way to protect and defend these very american principles. Think of all those in harm's way today, serving this nation proud and risking their own futures for sake of people who yearn to be free here and around the globe, in places that have never known freedom.

Then take a moment to think about all those in congress, the press, the courts and on college campuses who fight day in and day out to destroy the very simple american ideas so many have sacrificed for. This is Independence Day, a celebration of real american principles, freedom, liberty, life, a right to define and pursue one's own happiness and the right for america to determine its own destiny and place in the world, free from outside intervention.

Realize that america, the strongest, most prosperous and generous nation on earth, the freest people in all of history, can not lift the world to equal status by lowering itself to the failed socialist principles that have consumed other peoples and nations. The world can be as free, prosperous and sovereign as america, but only if they adopt american principles, not if we adopt theirs.

This July 4th, take a moment to read the document and principles we celebrate. Make sure the celebration means something more than good food, friends and fireworks.

The human spirit craves freedom, liberty and prosperity. america is the only place on earth to have perfected a system under which the human spirit can thrive in all regards. Let's not allow ourselves to fall back into tyranny and despotism, especially under the guise of some greater good…
