Jefferson Wells Wins Three Prestigious Manpower Power Awards

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Jefferson Wells, a subsidiary of Manpower Inc., was presented with three prestigious Manpower Power Awards in recognition of outstanding performance across the Manpower network in 2006. The honors were presented at the Jefferson Wells Annual Kickoff Event in Boca Raton, Fla. held Jan. 15 through 17, to the Desert Southwest, London and Toronto offices.

"These awards are consistent with the markets' values and goals of our corporate parent company" said Mark Reinemann, president and chief operating officer of Jefferson Wells a global provider of accounting and finance-related services. "Overall criteria included growth in revenue, efficiency of profit maximization, quality of performance, solid standing in the community and positive representation of Manpower brands."

Manpower's award program has been running since the 1960s. The Power awards are presented annually by Jeff Joerres, chairman, CEO and president of Manpower, to the top 250 Manpower operations worldwide that have achieved an outstanding performance during the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2006. The winning operations received a specially-commissioned sculpture by well-known Yugoslavian artist Vasa Mihich.

Julie McCollum, managing director of the Desert Southwest offices of Jefferson Wells -- which include the Phoenix and Las Vegas offices -- accepted the award on behalf of her staff. The achievement recognizes the highest contribution to a local community through core business activities, social investment and philanthropy.

"Our dedicated team has really gone beyond the call of duty and it has shown in our offices' support of our local communities" said McCollum. "I am very proud of the staff and their commitment to the Phoenix and Las Vegas communities."

The London office won the "Client Service Excellence" award, spotlighting exceptional client satisfaction. Criteria included high ratings on customer satisfaction surveys, a high number of repeat engagements with the same client and high year-over-year revenue growth within a client. Michael Nelson, managing director, accepted the coveted honor.

"I proudly accept this award on behalf of the London office and I commend my team for their dedication to our clients" said Nelson. "We pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients and we present them with integrity, honesty, our highest quality of work, a commitment to the success of their projects and continuous attention to their needs."

The "Operational Excellence" award, accepted by managing director Stephen Linker on behalf of the Toronto office, recognizes the best human resource practices and personnel retention rate along with other financial, operational and client service measurements including quality assurance. Toronto is the first Jefferson Wells office outside of the U.S. to receive the Manpower Power Award for Operational Excellence.

"I'm thrilled that the Toronto office was recognized for its effective execution of the Jefferson Wells model this year" said Linker. "I am very fortunate to be working with such a passionate team of experienced professionals all dedicated to bringing exceptional value to our clients in a profoundly different way. It is extremely fulfilling to be honored for that commitment."
