The Democrat Party has come to a crossroads. Since the thirties of the last century, they have built their party on the promises typical of a welfare state. The Great Society of the sixties was originally designed by Lyndon Johnson to keep the Black community quiet and voting Democrat. The government handouts, now having accumulated in the trillions, has created a large section of the population accustomed to FREE. Under Obama, Food Stamp recipients increased by 42% (FactCheck) while welfare increased by 41% (Independent Sentinel). By late 2016, the national debt had been doubled. Many Republicans, not wanting to be left out of the vote pile, also participated.

This affinity of the Democrats for social welfare rather than building the economy has produced crumbling cities. State and city tax rates have driven mostly middle class people out by the millions, leaving the needy, who pay little to no taxes. With all these tax payers gone, the rich are now expected to shoulder the burden of buying the Democrat votes of the poor. This social and fiscal policy has produced a loyal voting block that Democrats are not willing to give up and will continue to nurture. Never mind the resulting 72% illegitimacy rate of the Black community, and an education system and political/media propaganda machine that keeps these people right where they are.
When another inevitable collapse of middle class voter support occurs like what happened in 2016, they will blame a racist country, misogyny, homophobia, an outdated Constitution, capitalism, the opposition party, the electoral college, whatever. At the same time, they will continue promoting illegal immigration to fill the empty seats of those that departed. They won't concern themselves with the crime, disease, and contempt for law and order that has resulted, they will just give driver licenses to these illegals and register them to vote at the same time. Of course, they will protest loudly any attempt to require voter identification laws from being adopted.
The good news is that most of America is not with them. 76% of viewers approved of Trump's State of the Union address while 24% disapproved. 97% of Republicans approved of the speech, 30% of Democrats approved and 82% of Independents approved. 72% of viewers approve of the President's position on immigration while CNN showed a 76% approval. 71% of viewers agree that there IS a crisis at the southern border (CBS News).
Where the Democrats are today is a party of a thinning line of bewildered moderates...people who have voted Democrat for generations that still remember the good ole days of love of country and John Kennedy. The burgeoning thin line also contains the poor, that is now the richest poor in the world, but whose numbers are dwindling due to a growing robust economy and a new appreciation for payroll taxes, and the rich that have a financial stake in illegal aliens that will work for a pittance, but are now thinking twice about a Party that has them in their sights....a weak foundation, indeed.

Where do we go from here? The Left has been highly successful in destroying much of the greatest culture the world has ever seen. Liberals fought for Roe vs. Wade and now we have abortion in some parts of America right up to and immediately after birth. Life means little to them and yet they want to be in charge of our healthcare and our economy. Much of art has become depraved while the news media no longer reports news, only absurd opinion. Our young, in great numbers, think our country is rotten and in need of a socialist structure even while we witness the disintegration of Venezuela while here at home they enjoy the greatest economy in our history.
The 2018 elections where an aberration, a desperate exercise at keeping the Democrat voter base intact by trashing Trump 24/7 in spite of his accomplishments. Maybe it was a good thing they won. In their exuberance and over-confidence, voters are getting a clearer picture of who they really are. The Democrat sales pitch is now open for all to see and hear...socialism, universal income, income equality, workers of the world unite. Sounds like....
The Democrat Party has finally shown their hand. When a political party is willing to murder babies AFTER they are born, when they push to remove God from our oaths and public lives, when a party becomes antagonistic to our Judeo-Christian heritage, when a party adopts and promotes an official state ideology complete with acceptable gender pronouns, when a party relentlessly attacks our Constitution, especially the First and Second Amendments, when a party replaces morals with perversion, when a party is determined to completely take over our economy, I know that political party has gone full Communist.
With that in mind, they represent only about 25% of the voters, but they are a dangerous 25% and are making a hard sell to the rest...the voters that have been indoctrinated in anti-American rhetoric since kindergarten, and the balance that are dependent on 'their' generosity. They are not going to play by any rules or decorum. They will say or do anything even if it means starting another civil war. Yes, they started the first one.
