Is AOC the self-proclaimed leader of the Z Generation and a legend in her own mind?Alexandra Ocasio Cortez sees the “Z Generation” as the most historically cognizant of all time and they are also those who can and do “puncture more taboos” as compared to previous generations.
There are dozens of random on-street interviews both on and off campus where young people are asked simple questions about geography, history, politics, and current affairs. The product of most of these videos does not support AOC’s conclusion. A typical video asks the question – “Do you know where Mt. Rushmore is?” Let’s see.

Mount Rushmore: What Country is it Located in? FAILs! - Man on the Street with Mark Dice

When asked the simple question of "what county is Mount Rushmore located in" these beachgoers in San Diego had no clue. It is hilarious, but sad. You have to see it to believe it!

The present leaders of AOC’s party are all elderly such as Pelosi and Schumer not to mention that the three democratic presidential frontrunners for president are all very elderly. As a student of the Bible for over fifty years I am still amazed that the ancient Jewish laws and those of other countries would not allow a person to start in the pharisaical tradition until they were at least 30 year old and that was followed by a very long probationary period as a freshman priest. Those who were regarded wise enough to be judges were not allowed to start until after the age of sixty. In this generation perhaps it’s just fine for some youngster to go from being a 29 year old bartender to a seasoned law maker and pseudo stateswoman all in a blink of an eye. AOC may fancy herself as the avant-garde for all that is nascent and nimble, but she is likely only a flash in the pan of Z-gen’s wishful thinking. She says this generation has punctured more taboos, but a quick look around says this generation has promoted more perversions than all others in history. Is it just a viewpoint or is it a realistic commentary on the most morally polluted generation in history? With high school and middle school students accessing porn and living their entire lives in the reflected glow of their cell phones who could muster a real argument against these conclusions?

The Z Generation is in big trouble

The Z Generation is in big trouble. Clinging to every new thing that rolls down the pike does not a very secure nation make! The penchant for everything new is not so new. In the days when the apostle Paul visited the very cosmopolitan city of Athens, he found a large contingent of Athenians who vociferously demanded of newcomers to give them any new doctrine, teaching or general points of interest that were new. Right or wrong, true or false mattered little – if it was new it would do! “For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)” (Acts 17:20-21) What this generation thinks is important may be the rationale for declaring a generation that is surely sinking into a collective state of lunacy. One report says “More Millennials believe in E.T. than believe in God” and who has not heard about the three million people who confirmed of social media that they plan to swarm across Area 51 until the military gives up the secrets of the extraterrestrials. They are firmly determined to puncture that imaginary taboo right in the pants. More Millennials believe in E.T. than believe in God - DC Dirty Laundry
Maybe it’s all of the flying saucer home videos on YouTube, the 3,228 UFO sightings reported in 2018, or maybe the Trekkies have just won more people over, but survey after survey finds 60% of young Americans believe in intelligent extraterrestrial life. A few years back a National Geographic study reported 70% said they believed that extraterrestrials had already visited the earth.

Perhaps AOC would sponsor an extraterrestrial, if they are found, to become the next president since there are no more letters with which to name or acronym the next generation. We now can clearly see what writer, philosopher and lay theologian G. K. Chesterton meant when he declared – “When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.” It is one thing to be facetious, but in stark reality AOC has become the voice of every wisp of the cerebral cortex ever uttered down at the pub and the new Democratic Party is taking her very seriously – from this they want to draw their leaders. Perhaps it is time to appendage our elocutions and speeches not with “God bless America” but rather with “God help America’ at least until AOC either leaves office or grows up. In the interim perhaps a Gen Z would step out of their safe zone where they are puncturing taboos and venture to puncture the bubble that Alexandra Ocasio Cortez is living in today.
