On Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will host Twitter’s Jack Dorsey at a hearing that Republican lawmakers have called “Censorship, Suppression, and the 2020 Election.”
Statista has produced the following graph to indicate the extent to which Twitter censored free speech during and after the elections:
Very concerning:
• 300000 tweets—0.2 % of total US election tweets—labelled by Twitter “to combat election misinformation from October 27 to November 11”
• 74% of users viewed these offending tweets anyway even after Twitter had labelled them
But wait— notice that strange stand-alone entry on the graph:

I think it relates to the treatment Twitter accorded me when I was advised:

Even more intriguing--I posted possibly several hundred more tweets in the identical form – but these were not listed in my violation notice.
Why would Twitter try to hide behind the cover of “election misinformation” to get me to recant?
I can only assume Twitter wants to make an example of me because I asked the members to whom I tweeted to share my tweets with their followers. Many certainly did and expressed their appreciation for my bringing this particular issue in Wisconsin to their attention.
A few abusive personal responses were posted but no one claimed the article was false or contained misleading information.
I had apparently committed a hanging crime that demanded special treatment at the hands of Twitter that required my account to be locked.
My appeal was denied – with no reasons being given.
When I tried to clarify why my appeal had been rejected – I was told the email address I replied to was “unmonitored”. I had run into an impenetrable world of Twitter silence.
Why would Twitter try to hide behind the cover of “election misinformation” to get me to recant?
Why was my twitter account locked - drastic action beyond what even President Trump received?
I will not be withdrawing the tweets. My account will no doubt vanish as it is permanently suspended.
I have migrated to Parler – where I can post the same message and express my own views without fear of Big Brother closing me down.

Parler is reportedly now one of the most downloaded apps on Apple and Android smartphones. It has hit 10 million members — more than double the 4.5 million it had last week, according to Jeffrey Wernick, the company's chief operating officer:
"Our growth is not attributable to any one person or group, but rather to Parler's efforts to earn our community's trust, both by protecting their privacy, and being transparent about the way in which their content is handled on our platform,"
That is just a tiny fraction of Twitter's 187 million daily users. Maybe one day the numbers will be reversed.
There are many stories behind the figures and terminology appearing on a graph.
This is my story and I believe the only possible explanation for Twitter’s extraordinary Statista graph.
Maybe the Senate Judiciary Committee can get confirmation from Jack Dorsey when they meet.
