Armed Forces Appreciation Day - 2022

Several Americans may not even realize that Saturday is one of the official components of MIlitary Appreciation Month, or that the month of May has such a designation. Nevertheless, Armed Forces Appreciation Day is a legal holiday. It is commemorated on the third Saturday each May. The holiday was established during Harry Truman’s administration as part of the National Security Act of 1947. However, the extreme irony engulfing this holiday in 2022 is another Democrat in the White House is unraveling the genuine intent to foster appreciation for the Armed Forces that President Truman had initiated. Today, American citizens are witnessing President Joe BIden, not only unraveling the policies and programs initiated by President Donald Trump, we are also witnessing the undermining of The U.S. Military. While Harry Truman’s purpose in creating Armed Forces Appreciation Day was to unify the military, Biden’s goal seems to be sowing the seeds of division and disunity within the ranks of the military. The Democrats have initiated several efforts to weaken the U.S. military from within. Instead of honoring the men and women in uniform, and promoting the unity of our Armed Forces, the new Democrat tyranny is sowing the seeds of disunion and division in at least three main areas within the ranks at all levels.

Especially, the COVID induced mandates, forcing the rather spurious theories of “Plandemic” containment upon the men and women in uniform and forcing them into vaccinations or threats of severe punishment or a purge from the military. The stories are horrific and reminiscent of an administrative autocracy hellbent on establishing absolute authority over men and women who would be willing to die for the nation. Another demonstration of this effort to undermine the military is the force-feeding of Critical Race Theory upon a highly “captive audience.” There appears to be little or no resistance to this attempt at brainwashing our military personnel with Marxist-rooted intellectual propaganda and utterly false historical narratives that have been debunked by respectable historians. So, why does it continue? Who will lead the charge to help reverse such a destructive tendency? Such actions prove that the Democrat Party in 2022 is no longer the Party of Harry Truman or John F. Kennedy. These men would be turning over in their graves to see such treason. Two more clear acts undermining the United States’ military is the recent “purge” of loyal Americans within our Armed Forces who believe America is exceptional, or the “purge” of loyal Americans within our U.S. military following the Marxist-led “insurgency” upon the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. If anyone is in denial that it was an “insurrection” by unarmed civilians, it is they who are considered disloyal and unAmerican. Absolute authority cannot be questioned and that is why the “Ministry of Truth” was created. And, whether it will remain as an official arm of the Federal government, or whether it becomes a covert “KGB-styled” operation, it is a tragic statement about how our government is fast becoming the enemy of the people. The people who have their eyes and ears open are aware of such a diminishment of our men and women in uniform. No amount of lip service, hollow words, or fake fanfare for our Armed Forces can hide the truth of how the seeds of self-destruction are being sewn within the U.S. military. If our federal government can demoralize, devalue, and divide our military, it has the same effect as defeating the military from within - like cancer eats away and consumes a human body from the inside. America does not need enemies if we allow our own government to takeour military out before any shots are fired. Seems like Sun Tzu strategy to one who knows it.

Ironically, President Truman sensed the need for a reorganized military for the protection of the United States and the preservation of America’s values. On a larger scale, Truman intended to create a military ready to defend the nation, or to defend the friends of freedom when it would be necessary. With all things considered, if President Truman had not challenged the Congress to successfully re-organize the branches of the military to be more efficient and effective, our nation would not have been in a position to help the people of Korea. On Aug. 31, 1949, Harry Truman’s secretary of State announced the establishment of a joint Armed Forces Day to replace the tradition of honoring separately the men and women in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. Less than a year later, Kim Il-Sung’s North Korean Communist government invaded South Korea. By August of 1950, U.S. troops poured into South Korea under the authority of the United Nations. Today in 2022, the Biden Administration is undermining the unity of our military, and no one can truly know what will happen within one more year. Already the war between Russia and the Ukraine shows signs of escalating. Indeed, there are ominous signs on the horizon, and one may need to ponder more than whether Biden and his band of Elitists, Globalists and Marxists appreciate the U.S. Military. We the People must step up to show our appreciation for the men and women in uniform, as it is good for them to know we have their backs, if they have ours.
