Quo WEF? To the dustbin of history

The World Economic Forum (WEF), with grand conferences held each winter in Davos, some thirty years ago was a prestigious but apparently benign organization. Now it is being increasingly seen as a fascist promotor of authoritarian, if not totalitarian ambition. Of interest is that it has been funded by huge corporations and has been calling for one-world government. Which is remindful of an elegant definition of fascism: “The combination of big government and big business”. Of course, the question about why some insist that everything must be controlled cannot be answered, but the results in any century of power for the sake of power has always been hardship for the masses and high-living for the control freaks. Somehow these driven people can never understand that prosperity goes with freedom and by their compulsions force political and economic disaster upon ordinary folk.

WEF mantra includes the “Great Reset”, which is the banner for yet another utopian vision

The WEF mantra includes the “Great Reset”, which is the banner for yet another utopian vision. Going back to Thomas Moore’s fantasy book called Utopia, with one of his ideas being communal property. The past hundred years has recorded a rare “Tyrannical Century”, as control freaks go crazy. The hitherto free world fell for it and under the banner of Progressivism established today’s “Global” authoritarianism. The unfree world using either International Socialism or more locally National Socialism with both hosting the most murderous governments in history. Of course, this sordid history provides the distinction between authoritarian and totalitarian. Under the latter, the governing classes grant themselves the privilege of state murder. Fortunately, in Canada and the U.S. all ordinary folk need to do is reform busybody authoritarians. In the senior economy totalitarian has happened twice. In the Third Century, the truly magnificent Roman civilization was corrupted into a murderous police state, which collapsed. Beginning at around 1500, that Tyrannical Century political compulsions corrupted the Church into a murderous police state. Which was reformed. And considering the intensity of today’s control freaks in many regions their drive will not rest at merely authoritarian. With no internal limiting mechanism, the drive could again become totalitarian. Unless checked by an independent reform movement, which has started. And the “No!” has been shockingly disturbing to a movement grown intolerant to criticism, even self-criticism. However, back to the Utopian plans being ardently promoted by the schemers at the WEF. Another mantra is that “You will own nothing, and you will be happy”. Had Thomas Moore understood advertising he would have made “communal living” more appealing.

In Canada, there is a loop of emailers whose paranoia about the World Economic Forum is almost hysterical. Anyone that has had any contact with the WEF even back when it was benign has been forever contaminated and exists as a mole to serve the WEF. Yes, the Liberal Party and its minority government and the highest levels in Ottawa have been penetrated. But the Anti-WEF faction cannot accept that the Conservative Party is being reformed. Fears include that Poilievre’s recent rallies about restoring freedom to Canadians is just a front to extend WEF influence. It gives no regard that Pierre has been eloquently writing and pitching freedom for 20 years. The anti-Poilievre movement is convinced that as prime minister after winning as a reformer he will flip and become a WEF savant. Not likely, but the superstitions are sent out almost non-stop. And sadly, some of the almost paranoid emails have come out of Max Bernier’s office. It is possible that by using the ranked ballot, the Conservative establishment rigged the 2017 leadership election against Max, who has been a sore loser since. Also, possible is that Poilievre set out to absolutely overwhelm any possible rigging of the ranked ballot – and he did. Bernier had the same opportunity but could not inspire the numbers. Moreover, the WEF paranoids do not understand that the WEF can fail. That it will is outlined below. Previous such grand Utopian movements such as Masons, Club of Rome, Bilderberg Group and Trilateral Commission have by stages been used by controlling elites to threaten freedom. And they faded off the political threats map. However, that the WEF has suddenly become an acute threat is due to the latest Tyrannical Century reaching a climax. When control freaks have been, well, running “everything”. In the 1930s, the Nazis took advantage of German societies in the U.S. to display a benign front. Youth and training camps extended to tens of thousands amongst 70 regional divisions across the US. In February 1939 a rally at Madison Square Garden attracted 20,000 supporters.

There was little need for Russian diplomats to smoosh with the elites in Manhattan or DC. Hundreds of intellectuals and writers had been flocking to Moscow to worship the shrines of Communism. Some of the dreamers were fully indoctrinated before they got there. Lincoln Steffens was a political activist disguised as a journalist, and his observation has become famous: “I have seen the future and it works”. While he later had regrets, some have said he wrote it on the boat on the way to Russia. Whatever, the big push lately has been by the WEF and its many acolytes. While it may seem like a formidable threat it is vulnerable to two implacable forces. One is political reform and the other is that a severe post-bubble contraction will collapse the ability to fund Utopian schemes. The higher the unemployment numbers go the less interest there will be in “The Great Reset” or being happy while owing too much on your credit card, rent or car payments. Fortunately, the end of self-inflated grand agencies, of which the WEF is the latest, is in sight. And the mechanism of failure is clear. Having taken taxation to the limit the intrusive state resorts to inflation. Within which some of the huge surge in money supply or credit ends up in financial speculation. This is ironical as the inflation is a means to fund radical politics, which with financial speculation becoming unstable brings down both houses of cards—financial and political. Financial speculation peaked in January and the plunge made it the worst first half in generations. And now markets are getting hit again in a manner that suggests another 1929-type of contraction. While devastating to many, the blessing is that it will bring down the lately beguiling World Economic Forum. Just as well, as it recently published some ravings by yet another intellectual bumpkin:
“We just don’t need the vast majority of the population”.
Which reiterates the ancient Malthusian fears. Malthus originally hinted that there were too many of the lower classes. The latest was uttered in September by Yuval Noah Harari, a special advisor to Klaus Schwab and extends to the “vast majority”, which may have had enough of destructive intrusions by ambitious elitists. Quo WEF? To the dustbin of history.
