One More Severe Danger to Mankind, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion




The worst idea to ever come along for the industrial Free World is DEI. When any private company or government agency replaces job competence in hiring with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), failure is inevitable. The debacle of the Silicon Valley Bank and the Signature Bank are perfect examples of this reality.

When DEI, rather than industry knowledge and competence, is driving the hiring of the Board of Directors or any technically skilled position, a quality time bomb has been set to go off within the organization. These two banks completely forgot that the mission of a bank is to make a profit for its stockholders and depositors. While waving the DEI flag for their own staff and only choosing to loan money to DEI “qualified” entities, the company’s performance sucked to the point of self-destruction.

For more than two years the world has watched Uncle Joe Biden inflicting DEI on the American government and finding some of the most incompetent fools ever for high government positions. We now have a female Supreme Court Justice who could not define what a woman is in her confirmation hearing. But we got more DEI in government. Then there is the appointee for Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, who demonstrated his total ignorance about aviation in his confirmation hearing. The new FAA Administrator nominee may meet Biden’s DEI goal, but it doesn’t do a thing for aviation safety in America.

Please don’t forget that DEI, not competence, has been the hiring standard for the military since 2021. Seems to me that military skills should trump DEI, but what do I know? DEI is the principle reason experienced, competent members of the military are leaving the service in droves, no matter how many dollars are offered to try to get them to stay.

Recently, even the airlines are bragging about their DEI hiring policy changes. I’m sorry, but if I get on an airliner, I want the most competent pilots possible sitting in the front seats. I certainly don’t want pilots who are there only to meet DEI goals. I don’t care what sex my pilot is, or what sexual orientation he/she might have, but they better be the most competent pilots available. I don’t care what his/her skin color or ethnic background is, but that pilot better damn well be competent.

Let’s address something everyone should be able to relate to in their own lives. Which surgeon would you like to have opening your body: the surgeon who was totally competent and the top of his class or the one who was graduated so as to meet DEI goals? Expand that to everything in your life, the bridges you cross, the car your family rides in, and the people managing your money. Which is most important to you?

More DEI disasters, private and government, are likely coming.
