First I want to say this column will probably be the easiest and one of the most important ones I will ever publish. It’ll be easy because I don’t have to write it. Much of the information comes directly from the United Nations website of UNESCO: The United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) founded on 16 November 1945. Where I’ve entered questions I have (and you should too), I’ll italicize and accent by font change, the question and/or statement.


UNESCO has 195 Members and eight Associate Members. It is governed by the General Conference and the Executive Board. The Secretariat, headed by the Director-General, implements the decisions of these two bodies. The Organization has more than 50 field offices around the world with headquarters located at Place de Fontenoy in Paris, France.

UNESCO works to create the conditions for dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples, based upon respect for commonly shared values. It is through this dialogue that the world can achieve global visions of sustainable development encompassing observance of human rights, mutual respect and the alleviation of poverty, all of which are at the heart of UNESCO’S mission and activities.

The first question I have is: whose values am I supposed to be in concurrence with and sharing like ideas and ideals? As the United Nations is an organization developed to share ideas I don’t have a problem. Where I do have a problem is when American government uses legislation drafted and written in language by outside lobbyists associated with the UNESCO program to remove our rights to decide the educational course our children will pursue.

This is a power grab being accomplished to develop school curricula allowing the least intelligent can appear to perform at a heightened level through rigged curricula covering diminished educational standards. In this way America ascends to the levels of Third World countries alleged to be teaching students so they may excel in in sciences and math. In reality it “dumbs-down”. This argument of America falling behind Europe and the Far East (India, Japan, China) in educational progress has been going on since I was in elementary school in the 1950s. It was allegedly the reason we came up with “modern math” (the teaching of elementary algebra to 4th graders) and accelerated science courses. Eisenhower paid lip-service to it and John F. Kennedy allowed it

The United States has recently been using an initiative called “COMMON CORE” to institute controls and standardization of supervision and accountability of teachers in American public schools. This (teacher accountability) and minimum standards developed by the government, and taking the control of public schools from the duly elected school boards chosen by the people of a locale has been slow and insidious.

So nobody can say this column is unrighteous and attacks democrats in general or Beaurat Obama in particular; all this started moving into a higher gear with “NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND” developed under the Bush administration. We’re now entering the next phase of Federal interference in public education with a program called: “COMMON CORE”. The program developing curricula commanded/demanded be taught to public AND private school students is C-Scope. It’s delivered to school boards and teachers alike with more strings attached than a circus tent. The clowns are in charge of securing this suffocating tent. It is Bill of Rights repugnant. It’s unconstitutional.

These are some of the tidbits offered for your children to be associated with. You will have NO say over what your children study. The United Nations theories on race, sex, procreation and/or birth control and “reproductive rights” will be contractually removed from your local school board if they ascribe to and contract with the federal government to accept governmental resources and funding. Additionally the sciences and math will be taught with a lowered skill level being acceptable so that all students may be educated “equally” and on a par with all other children worldwide.

Contractually, all school boards and teachers are required to sign a strict and criminally/civilly enforceable set of non-disclosure agreements so parents can’t see tests, criteria for testing or how the courses were designed and by whom.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. There’s more to come.
