Condoleezza Rice: Dues Paid In Full

The political world is abuzz with the potential of a John McCain / Condoleezza Rice presidential ticket. Now while I’ve been calling on Dr. Rice to run for president for years, her very presence aside John McCain would do more to destroy the Democrat Party than any super delegate fiasco on the Denver convention floor. I remind you that I’m not hoping for Condoleezza Rice to join McCain because she’s black. She is definitely qualified, as she’s served a full term as President Bush’s National Security Advisor, and is nearing the end of an entire term as Secretary of State. She was the first black female to serve at both those historically important positions, despite the fact she was hardly celebrated by the very liberals who are patting themselves on the back for tolerating a Barack Obama presidential bid.

I am hoping John McCain offers Dr. Rice the position (and she accepts) precisely because she’s qualified and black. Let’s not forget, it is progressives who (on a daily basis) instruct us all on the virtues of tolerance and inclusion when it comes to the treatment of minorities and women. We must all watch what we say and how we act when dealing with blacks especially. There is no better illustration to this than with the eggshells the left are circumnavigating when dealing with Barack Obama. Some say he’s receiving the kid glove treatment because to go to far would invite the accusations of racism. We all know what happens to anyone who crosses that liberal racism line. You can (and will) be ostracized, you can lose your job, you may even face a lawsuit or two, and you may even need round-the-clock security to protect yourself and your family. But Condoleezza Rice on the presidential ticket would, no doubt, bring out the best in the Democrats. The “best” being our being privy to witnessing just who liberals really are. Very few of us have the time to read postings on the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, and/or the Democratic Underground websites. While preaching tolerance and inclusion, the patrons of those cites effortlessly come up with some of the most intolerant of comments, and Dr. Rice would not be spared from mean-spirited, if not downright accepted (and encouraged) racist insults. Punctuated throughout this column are caricatures, easily found on the web, of Dr. Rice. Can any of you imagine the reciprocal outrage that would ensue should “art” like this appear on a conservative website about a Congresswoman Maxine Waters type? Apologies would be demanded, and probably not accepted, as that sought-after apology wouldn’t be enough. The shutting down of that website would be demanded. Their sponsors would be threatened with boycotts. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would offer their services to help the offenders get their minds right. But should the liberal left cross that line when attacking a black conservative, the terms “sell-out”, “Uncle Tom”, wannabe white” would be accepted as fair game, and even white liberals could use the word “#” with acceptance and impunity, if not applause from their peers. This I know from experience. A Condoleezza Rice on the presidential ticket would show America, if not the world, just who the Republican Party was and is. We would also get a good look into the dark, racist world of the Democrats. On many occasions, I have reminded you about the history of the Democrat Party, complete with their racist, murderous words and deeds. In response, liberals have contorted themselves into knots assuring us that they weeded out the bad Democrats long ago, and have since grown. They no longer look at race first. I wish someone would explain that to the Clinton campaign, who has done everything possible to marginalize Barack Obama, not as an inexperienced primary opponent, but as a black candidate. This has succeeded in not only isolating the black vote, but also enraging and energizing the Democrat white vote, which is precisely what Hillary (and Bill) assumes she needs to reduce the impact Obama has on today’s younger voters. But should Condoleezza Rice become the nominee for vice president, we will see the Democrats at their best. Racist words and deeds, now considered a bad thing, will be tolerated and accepted when directed at Dr. Rice. The New York Times, Boston Globe, as well as news publications around the world, will be empowered to create and circulate cartoons they’d never allow be published of a black Democrat. They call it “free speech”. You wanna see a nation divided on race, just wait and see who not only accepts it when directed at a black Republican, but encourages it. I predicted years ago that Condoleezza Rice would, in some capacity, be on the presidential ticket. Not only would she be the best qualified for that job, but she could offer national security and foreign policy insights no Democrat veep opponent could. Of course, we’re not all 100% onboard with some of Dr. Rice’s positions, but as we have to accept John McCain and his tendency to fall off the conservative wagon, we too should be willing to cut Dr. Rice some slack when she expresses opinions that trouble us as well. The bottom line is not only to put a Republican in The White House, but also show the Democrats for whom they’ve always been: a bigoted party of sexist hypocrites. Putting Dr. Rice on the ticket with John McCain would be a stroke of political strategic genius. McCain-Rice has a nice ring to it, and the left (by nature) will have only one place to go. It will be very public and instructive.
