The Media: A weaponized asset of the left

How Dangerous is Fake News?

How Dangerous is Fake News? When President Trump declares that much of the news coverage regarding him and his administration is "fake news" or that the media ignores negative stories regarding Democrats, the evidence suggests he's correct. But is it all that important? Did you know that last week two hundred illegal immigrants originating from the Congo, that were picked up by border patrol agents, have tested positive for the deadly and highly contagious Ebola virus or that a company whistleblower announced that YouTube has been placing millions of subliminal anti-Trump messages in a variety of videos? You most certainly did not. But nearly every American has heard of President Donald Trump colluding with Russia and calling all Mexicans rapists or of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulting women even though these events never took place and were concocted out of thin air.

Ebola and YouTube stories aren't real either

On the other hand, the Ebola and YouTube stories aren't real either, but with the reality of fake news, you would never have heard of them had they actually existed. Simply put, fake news destroys and ends real lives and severely damages the quality of life in every aspect of American society. The liberal propaganda media in this country takes its role of manipulating public opinion by any means necessary very seriously. Routinely selectively reporting or withholding facts that help the left and hurt the right while pretending to be an actual source of information is priority one. The damaging results produced by media misinformation go well beyond political differences as they more accurately resemble genuine treason; a word recently abused by the left. The American way of life including its laws, traditions, and foundation centered on God are jeopardized with each lie told by the media as Americans can only form opinions and make decisions based on what they know. How many crimes committed by Democrats have put American companies out of business or overburdened taxpayers that were never made public by the media? We'll never know, and that's the point. In the 1997 movie "Wag The Dog" movie character Conrad Brean played by Robert De Niro proclaims that the fake war he concocted to deceive the public was suddenly ended because of an announcement made on television. Perhaps a bit on the exaggerated theatrical side, but the movie offers a view of the significant influence today's fake news has on the public's perception. It provides a likely explanation as to why with the country getting past the dark days of Obama emerging with outstanding economic numbers, and record low unemployment, half of the country still wants President Trump impeached for reasons that defy logic. Look no further than the fraudulent gatekeepers of what Americans see, hear, and read, as to why opinion doesn't match reality.

The leftist propaganda media is unapologetically relentless in its bias attacks on the President without a shred of decency or journalist integrity

The leftist propaganda media is unapologetically relentless in its bias attacks on the President without a shred of decency or journalist integrity. In a recent June 2019 article in Media Research Centers' NewsBusters, TV news coverage of Trump was 92% negative in the months before Special Counsel Robert Mueller's final report when Democrats spoke of Trump's absolute guilt even going so far as stating that they had seen the evidence. And in May, after Mueller delivered his final report finding no Russian collusion, TV news coverage was again at 92% negative. So Trump was going to be demolished in the media no matter what he did or didn't do. The MCR piece adds, "The Russia investigation now accounts for twice as much of President Trump's overall evening news coverage as it did before the report's completion. At the same time, TV news viewers heard three times as many references to "impeachment" compared to before Mueller concluded there was no campaign conspiracy with Russia while not determining potential obstruction of justice. Some conservative news organizations are overly generous when they identify leftist double standard behavior as merely hypocritical when a more accurate word in terms of the damage that has been done would be evil. The 1961 movie "The Children's Hour" uncomfortably illustrates the exceptional difficulty one has in disproving a lie, something President Trump, and Brett Kavanaugh know all too well. The leftist media seems to operate by a set of standards that have no connection with profitability. According to a June 13th piece in the New American, CNN had a recent 33-percent drop in its primetime audience. "The beleaguered news network trails behind names such as Hallmark, History, and Food Network." the article said. And still, the fake news continues unhindered.

There is no responsible way to minimize the significant damage that fake news presents to American society

There is no responsible way to minimize the significant damage that fake news presents to American society. The "No crisis at the border" lie has a devastatingly negative impact on the economy and puts American lives in physical danger. The media refuses to identify illegal immigrant murder suspects as illegal immigrants, which gives a false impression of the problems facing local law enforcement. But it’s more than creating fake news, lying and withholding the truth, it's disregarding and repeating an already disproved lie in the hope it continues to deceive. The leftist media has a contempt, and deep hatred for the vision of the founding of this country, the promise of freedom and reason why millions risk their lives to come to America. In today's reality, there is no such thing as the media that has become a weaponized asset of the left. More accurately, a weaponized asset of the left pretends to be what we as a society misidentify as the media.

Rick Hayes——

Rick Hayes lives in the epicenter of liberal land where reality and truth will never encounter a welcome mat.

An award-winning writer and photographer, with over twenty years of professional experience in both fields, Hayes started his journalism adventure after a successful, eye-opening career as a Banker in Wall Street.  Although he spent his early work life surrounded by custom made shirts, expensive ties and the shiniest of shoes, Hayes was an accomplished singer, cutting a few records with a local band and appearing on one of the first cable shows.

Working for a weekly New York paper, in one of the most politically corrupt areas in the State, he began investing his time trying to understand the nature of corruption.
