A person who stands his ground is one who is solid...unwavering.  America must allow for that sort of person to be nominated for this nation's top job. And that person, currently, is not John McCain or Barack Obama. Both candidates for president are too busy bowing to whatever crowd stands before them and both will waver in terms of what they truly believe to garner votes.   But a group of patriots have had enough of the wavering.  Patriots Revolt, a website dedicated to getting the attention of politicians in Washington, is in full swing.  The focus is mainly on John McCain to truly stand up for conservative principles, but the overall message is directed to Washington as a whole...that Washington MUST listen to the people!   Many people are logging on to Patriots Revolt to find that no longer will "politics as usual" be acceptable.    Colonel Harry Riley, US Army Ret. had a hand in putting together the Patriots Revolt website. He says that from the response he's gotten, people want to see their politicians "stand up for just the masses. Not for special interests."   "This has struck a chord...so many people are throwing up their hands... they don't like any of the presidential candidates," he continued.   In his part to put together Patriots Revolt, he realized, "If our founding fathers capitulated ...we wouldn't have America.     As politicians continue about their business, making campaign stop after campaign stop, all Americans get are sound bytes and will not likely be able to sound off to the candidates (chosen by the media) about what they want to see in a president.   Colonel Riley mentioned, "The bulk of America isn't being heard. We are addicted to the parties in control."   The American people are just so used to the two major parties setting forth what they think should be the rule of the day and feedback from the public is not paramount to the Republican or Democrat party.     The politicians are "so hung up on their own personal agendas and America is lost in the shuffle," Riley said.   Patriots Revolt addresses concerns of all Americans who wish to hold to traditional roots. Sadly, the Republican Party, which held true to those conservative values and traditions, has sold out to elitism and globalism.   "The Republican Party has abandoned Republican principles... forgotten about their roots," Col. Riley adds.  Riley goes further to explain that regardless of party, Americans can find a home at Patriots Revolt.    Col. Riley stressed, "This is not about party name, it's about founding principles and the moral rudder of America...we are taking a stand."   Emphasizing the need to see the will of the people hold government accountable for their actions, Riley said, "It takes a measure of backbone, courage, guts... however one describes bucking the system, and charting an 'uprising' in America to stop the 'criminal rape of our citizens.'"       ***    For far too long, the status quo has been accepted and many patriotic Americans have not had appropriate means to stand up and fight back.    For the future of our country, it is worth it to employ the same gusto and fortitude our forefathers exhibited to get things done.   For the Democrat, Republican, or Independent, etc. who is dissatisfied with the choices for president (better yet, if you are dissatisfied with the way the choices were picked) Patriots Revolt needs to hear from you.     It's time to rock the boat.   Visit patriotsrevolt.com if you've had enough.
