Bob Parks is a true conservative leader, in the very non-conservative state of Massachusetts. Parks is a hero to many conservatives, no only as one of select few African-American Republicans in New England, but also as a leader of conservatism.
As a past candidate for State Party Chair, Parks came closer than almost anyone else in turning the Republican Party of Massachusetts into a conservative force. If he had succeeded, Democrats would have been forced to follow suit on many issues and their State House would host more Republican legislators than the current 13%. Parks is also a talented film producer for the conservative cause, one video on his channelreceiving over 790,000 hits.
In recent months, as Parks is running for State Rep., he suffered a heavy financial loss after investing his time into helping someone try to build a radio network. Owing Parks months worth of salary, the originator of the network was found to be deceiving people. The details of the case are outlined on Parks' blog.
Bob Parks continues to be an effective conservative voice. And with his background and talents, Black and Right can accomplish much for the conservative cause. After speaking with Parks and discussing the entire matter, as well as doing my own research beforehand when Judi McLeod, one of the most caring and conscience editors anywhere, brought his plight to my attention, I see the need to rally around Parks in his time of need.
