Til Death they do Part—The U.S. House

It has become abundantly clear that most of our so-called "patriotic public servants" in D.C. run for office with the intention of staying until "death they do part". They have no allegiance to the constituents they represent nor the Country. It's all about power, corruption, ideology and greed, but We the People re-elect them every two years.
If our ignorance in this respect continues, we are helping to facilitate the demise of the United States of America. In the words of Trevor Loudon, whom I heard speak again last night, "we are condemning our children and grandchildren to a life of slavery". I highly recommend his new book, The Enemies Within, Communists, Socialists and Progressives in The U.S. Congress. Many of the people we keep sending back to Congress have long histories with both the Communist Party and the Democratic Socialists of America. The Democrat Party is run by the labor unions which have been run by the Communists since John Sweeney, Richard Trumka and Linda Chavez-Thompson gained control of the AFL-CIO in 1995. In 1997, they dropped the ban on communist party members and our Country has been on a downward spiral since. Unfortunately, the Republican members of Congress have done little to impede the infiltration of our government by the Communist Party. The U.S. House of Representatives is rife with members with no intention of leaving until they are carried out. John Murtha's reign was only brought to an end by his death on February 8, 2010. He was 77 years of age and had been a member of the House for 36 years. He was known as one of the "kings of pork", which explains his consistent opposition to ethics reform. As the Chairman of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, he diverted tens of millions of dollars in earmarks to Pentagon contractors to firms that used his brother as a lobbyist. He was repeatedly named one of the most corrupt members of Congress. He was the subject of more than one FBI investigation regarding sham companies and nonprofits. Nevertheless, two days before his death he became the longest serving Congressman in Pennsylvania history.

In June of this year John Dingell became the longest "live off the American taxpayer" serving member of Congress in our history. Mr. Dingell was elected to the House on December 13, 1955, which means in December, 2013 he will have been sponging off us, and foisting his communistic ideals on us, for 58 years. He took over the seat from his father, when said father died in office after holding the seat for 22 years. John Dingell is now 87 years old. Even Speaker of the House John Boehner and Minority leader Mitch McConnell attended a party to celebrate the momentous occasion. And just what has Mr.Dingell done for the American people? He authored the wonderful Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act and legislation to build the first international wildlife refuge in North America. Apparently good old John is a staunch supporter of Agenda 21. He also helped author Obamacare, the Children's Health Insurance Program and the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act. He spent his entire career working toward the government takeover of health care, or "control of the people" as he stated in this video. John Dingell represents Dearborn, Michigan, home to the second largest Arab community outside the Middle East. Middle-Eastern ancestries make up the largest ethnic grouping with Lebanese, Yemeni, Iraqi, Syrian and Palestinian groups present. The unemployment rate in Mr. Dingell's Wayne County district is 11.8%. In the southern end of Dearborn 90% of the population is Yemeni and suffers an extremely high rate of poverty. Almost the entire youth population are on the free or reduced breakfast and lunch programs. Many of the refugees are unskilled and speak no English. Rep. Dingell is living proof that if you keep your constituents taken care of and dependent on the government, they will keep you in D.C. The Arab American National Museum (AANM) opened in Dearborn in 2005, the first museum in the world devoted to Arab-American history and culture. Dearborn is also home to the Islamic Center of America, the largest mosque in North America. Numerous articles have been written regarding the creeping Sharia overtaking the city of Dearborn. With accomplishments such as these, it begs the question, "exactly what were Messrs. Boehner and McConnell celebrating? Following closely on the heels of John Dingell is another Representative from the State of Michigan, John Conyers. Not surprisingly, Rep. Conyers began his political career as an aide to John Dingell. Mr. Connyers is 84 years old and the second longest serving member at 48 years. Mr. Conyers shares Dearborn with John Dingell and also represents half of the city of Detroit which recently filed for bankruptcy. Mr. Conyers is one of the founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Much has been written about their ties to both the Communist Party and the Democratic Socialists of America. John Conyers, much like John Dingell, has an affinity for Islam. In 2005 he proposed House Resolution 288, which condemned “religious intolerance” but emphasized Islam as needing special protection from acts of violence and intolerance. His bill stated that “it should never be official policy of the United States Government to disparage the Quran, Islam, or any religion in any way, shape, or form”. Luckily, the bill never emerged from committee. Every year since 2003 John Conyers has introduced the United States National Health Care Act, or Medicare for all, to establish a single payer health care system in the United States. And, who can ever forget the prophetic words he uttered during the debate over Obamacare, “I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill'... What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?” Not to be outdone by the voters in Michigan, the residents of Charlie Rangel's district in New York continue to re-elect the now 83 year old. He has now taken up space in Congress for 42 years. He is also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Mr. Rangel is perhaps best known as the "tax cheat" who wrote tax law in Congress as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. Seems it simply slipped Charlie's mind to pay all the taxes he owed. Even after a series of ethics violations, Charlie Rangel received only a slap on the wrist in the House and his constituents sent him back to D.C. Among Charlie Rangel's memorable votes are Obamacare, the stimulus, the auto bailout and the Dream Act. Mr. Rangel has been a key sponsor of the increases in the redistributive Earned Income Tax Credit, fought against restrictions on entitlement benefits such as drug testing and reemployment assessments and recently has become known for stating, “There is no reason why a young person should have to pay for a college education.” Sharing both Charlie Rangel's age and number of years in Congress is C.W. "Bill" Young of Florida. He has earned the title "the longest serving Republican in Congress". Though his district has changed four times, he has been sent back to D.C. twenty times. This may be partly due to his long tenure on the Appropriations Committee and since Appropriations Committee members are well-positioned to steer pork to their districts, it is extremely difficult to unseat a member of this committee. He continuously fought against disclosure of earmark requests. Young has supported over $70 million in combined earmarks to two companies which employ his sons, both before and after they were employees. From January, 1971 to September, 2013, Young missed 2,022 of 25,000 roll call votes, which is 8.1%. This is worse than the median of 2.2% among the lifetime records of representatives currently serving. Mr. Young recently voted against the amendment prohibiting the NSA from collecting records under the Patriot Act. He voted for Medicare Part D and Cash for Clunkers. He has not only voted for SCHIP, but voted to expand the program. He consistently votes to continue the flow of taxpayer money for the Endangered Species Act and Amtrak. Rep. Don Young of Alaska is now 73 years of age and has been in the House for 40 years. He is second in Republican longevity to Bill Young. From March, 1973 to September, 2013, Young missed 3,670 of 24,222 roll call votes, which is 15.2%. He is perhaps best known for his $223 million earmark for the Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska. He also sponsored the Airport Security Federalization Act which created the TSA. He is also known as one of the most corrupt politicians in D.C. In 2007 Rep. Young was under Federal investigation for accepting bribes and gifts from VECO Corporation, an Anchorage based company. The top executives of the company pleaded guilty. Young had received $157,000 from VECO employees. The FBI closed its case in 2010 and sent their findings to the House Ethics Commission. True to form, the House protected its own and the issue died. In March, 2013 another special committee was created to investigate more allegations against Young. The Ethics Committee is now forming a sub-committee charged with the duty of determining whether or not Young broke the law. There is no timeline for either the sub-committee, or the Ethics Committee, to release its findings. Rep. George Miller of California is 66 years of age and has occupied his seat in the House for 38 years. He entered Congress at the age of 29 and has now spent over half his life there. He has one of the most liberal voting records in the House. From January, 1975 to September, 2013, Miller missed 1,752 of 23,271 roll call votes, which is 7.5%. He is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and is considered Nancy Pelosi's closest confidant. George Miller has never met a liberal bill he didn't like. He voted for TARP, Stimulus, Obamacare, Dodd Frank and the Auto bailout. From 2001 to 2006, Miller was the ranking Democrat on the Education and the Workforce Committee. With that committee's chairman, and their Senate counterparts, Miller helped draft the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001 and 2002. Miller also sponsored the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007. George Miller was involved in the failed $1.2 billion Department of Energy loan to SunPower Corporation. The loan was granted just hours before the DOE program was set to expire. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that SunPower paid $138,00 to Rep. Miller's son and his lobbying firm to represent them. Rep. Henry Waxman, also from California, entered the House the same year as George Miller. He has now been in Congress 38 years and is 74 years old. He, too, is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Rep. Waxman co-authored the Cap and Trade fiasco, also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill. Waxman, as the ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, oversaw the case of Solyndra, the solar company that filed for bankruptcy after receiving a $535 million loan guarantee from the DOE. Waxman recounted meeting with Solyndra's CEO two months before they filed for bankruptcy, who assured him that "Solyndra’s future was bright with sales and production booming". Smart guy is our Mr. Waxman. Henry Waxman also led the witch hunt against Roger Clemens, demanding he be brought up on charges of lying to Congress about steroid use. I'm still trying to figure out just where Congress derived the power to interfere in Major League Baseball. Roger Clemens was acquitted on all charges on June 18, 2012. Rep. Waxman has been instrumental in ramming Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, SCHIP and Cash for Clunkers down the throats of the American people. Thankfully, his infamous Cap and Trade bill died in the Senate. Henry Waxman is a staunch supporter of the EPA and their numerous regulations destroying industry in our Country. Of course, every Democrat Representative listed above is a staunch supporter of taking away our Second Amendment rights. They have to take away our guns in order to completely control us. I congratulate the grassroots patriots of Colorado on their victory in recalling two of the Democrat Senators that were instrumental in imposing new draconian gun restrictions. It is imperative we maintain a constant vigilance in order to protect our right to bear arms. The number of "til death they do part" members of the house is so lengthy, it is necessary to highlight them in "chapters". The House Part 2 will begin with those Representatives that have reached the 36 year mark. It is a sad commentary on our Country that we have devolved into letting these people become our masters. Only the American people can reverse the course we're on and, unfortunately, too many are still paying no attention to what people like those discussed above are doing to not only their lives, but those of their children and grandchildren. To quote Thomas Jefferson, "Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny".
