Islam is a totalitarian ideology aimed at establishing tyrannical power over non-Muslims. It is similar to Nazism and all educated people know this-particularly the media elites, academics and politicians. Yet, they are going out of their way to diminish the danger of this particular ideology at this time in our history. We all know that terrorism is coming from Islamic ideology. We all know that many Muslims now living in the West are demanding in the name of FREEDOM OF RELIGION that we, the host countries, change our ways for them –so they feel better, feel included, as if they were back home. Acquiescing to these expectations is suicide by democracy, yet, like lemmings, too many are going over the cliff of extreme tolerism. Let us never forget, despite the attempt by leaders like Trudeau and Obama who claim that Islam is part of the fabric of the foundation of our countries, that in fact our freedoms sit on the Judeo/Christian ethic that is firmly embedded in all our constitutional documents.
Winston Churchill wrote that the Bible has given us “a system of ethics which, even if it were entirely separated from the supernatural, would be incomparably the most precious possession of mankind, worth in fact the fruits of all other wisdom and learning put together. On that system and by that faith there has been built out of the wreck of the Roman Empire the whole of our existing civilization.” And here are the words of John Adams, a member of the Declaration of Independence committee and second president of the United States (1797–1801), who understood the deep connection between ethical monotheism and freedom. Share them everywhere:
“I will insist that the Hebrews have done more to civilize men than any other nation. If I were an atheist, and believed in blind eternal fate, I should still believe that fate had ordained the Jews to be the most essential instrument for civilizing the nations. If I were an atheist of the other sect, who believe or pretend to believe that all is ordered by chance, I should believe that chance had ordered the Jews to preserve and propagate to all mankind the doctrine of a supreme, intelligent, wise, almighty, sovereign of the universe, which I believe to be a great essential principle of all morality, and consequently of all civilization.”

You do not vote for anyone who believes it appropriate to import and implement behaviours from an ethic that is diametrically opposed to the teachings of democracy-which is much one than one vote one person. Democracy demands that we support the ethic that makes freedom possible. It was Churchill, a champion of democracy, who also noted “It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.” Democracy is fragile. We have seen over the past 10 years a reduction in the number of democracies in the World. Freedom House 2015 reports:
“More aggressive tactics by authoritarian regimes and an upsurge in terrorist attacks contributed to a disturbing decline in global freedom in 2014. Freedom in the World 2015 found an overall drop in freedom for the ninth consecutive year. “Nearly twice as many countries suffered declines as registered gains—61 to 33—and the number of countries with improvements hit its lowest point since the nine-year erosion began.”
It remains incumbent upon all who hold freedom dear, on all who wish for their children a country that extols the value that all people are born with equal intrinsic value, to vote only for those who cherish and uphold these standards and values-and yes dear readers- we in the West have immutable values that have come to us over thousands of years and it is our obligation to pass them forward. Do not vote for anyone who says that an ideology rooted in supremacy and intolerance of others is acceptable here.
