Many of my more astute readers already know that, yes, my title and opening line were ‘borrowed’ from The Infamous ‘Captain’ as he looked down the ravine at a beaten Cool Hand Luke; because these words express the absolute-state-of-confusion concerning the communications coming from our state and local governments, who are failing, and leaving vulnerable, the very people they swore to protect and serve.
Before we begin, please make note that I believe President Trump is doing a fantastic job with a least one hand tied behind his back.
As an advance peek at my notes for this article, I wrote down the following keywords: Opportunistic, Exploitation, Distrust, Control, Confusion, Hate, Panic, and Ignorance, with the subheading of the Loss of Common Sense.
And, for our first example of opportunistic/exploitation: All Democrats in Congress and state Governors are running Mach-2 with their hair on fire in an attempt to move quickly, by keeping people in fear, locked in their homes, in an attempt to shut down the economy and thereby creating a full-financial-collapse/depression by mid-spring, with the plan, of course, to blame everything on Donald Trump. The evil Democrats want nothing more than an economic collapse, if it will finally get rid of Trump. He cannot be reelected!
Opportunistic/Failure: The Democrats in Congress were salivating yesterday morning, gleefully agreeing to, “Never let a good crisis go to waste...” while Pelosi, undoubtedly with one of her monogrammed impeachment pens in hand, presented a 1,400 page, $2.5 Trillion “socialist wish list” package to address the Covid-19 virus. As soon as everyone, including the Alt-Media, such as Canada Free Press, got a look at the ‘Pelosi Package’, they instantly came to the realization that there were billions earmarked for unrelated Green Energy projects, along with extensions of DACA, monies for Sanctuary Cities, with little to nothing to assist people who were out of work, or closed businesses due to the virus. Finally, her own party began telling her she had gone too far, where even her-loyal-media-comrades could no longer protect her, Pelosi crawled back under a rock.
Headline: “DOW surges the most since 1933 on stimulus deal hopes” with a gain of 2,113 to 20,704.91. Whew! That’s good news for today; but, we cautiously wait to see what is in the new $2 Trillion Covid-19 (HR 748 - CARES) for Coronavirus Aid Relief Economic Security Act bill.
Opportunistic/Control: Reporting from the totalitarian Garden State, gun-grabber-Phil Murphy, in his race to the bottom with other Radical-Liberal-State-Governors has not only ordered a stay-at-home for non-essential businesses, but now closed all retail businesses selling firearms, ammunition, along with the online portal (NICS) for firearm background checks; plus all public and private practice ranges. Why? Why would he do this, at a time when the people’s need for self-defense may become paramount? There are lawsuits pending, but meanwhile, some rational person must explain how denying the citizens of your state the ability to defend themselves is in the best interest of your constituents, the very ones you swore to protect and serve. FYI: Phil Murphy, a Wall Street banker who gave so much money to BHO’s campaign was rewarded ‘Ambassador’ of Germany, while a large percent of foolish gun owners in the state stayed home on Election Day. Which is as good as any lead into our next keyword....
Ignorance: Many other liberal state governors are going full steam ahead with edits to restrict their constituents, closing their places of business, stay-at-home mandates, even restricting how many guests one can have in their private homes, without consulting their state legislatures or the courts and, meanwhile, are taking these unrehearsed, or not-properly-planned actions, solely on the advice of some liberal-unelected-health commissioner and other power-hungry-bureaucrats.
Panic/Confusion/Distrust: Doctors on our local TV stations are warning us that coronavirus deaths could 'skyrocket' if restrictions are loosened as President Trump wants them to be, saying he wants the economy booming again by Easter. But, on the flip side of this coin, there is a lot they are not telling us, since many more people have already died of the flu this year than of Covid-19 virus, why does it seem that our local governments are in the state of contradictory panic.
Meanwhile some virologists are saying that THIS virus did, in fact, come from Red China and has all the markings and characteristics of being bioengineered and identifying it as a fully bio-weaponized pathogen, unlike any natural animal-to-human virus they have ever seen before.

If there is truth to their findings, then the government has the absolute responsibility to the people to tell us the truth!
Hate/Distrust: There is only one now-obvious-reason why none of us has ever witnessed the ease at which our states and local governments have been able to forcibly restrict the movement and camaraderie of the populous within their jurisdictions and that is because of their hatred of Donald Trump. Their dogged desire is for him to fail. I am now totally convinced that the ‘preventive actions’ of this crisis would never have become this extreme, especially here in the United States, if Donald J. Trump had not become the President of the United States.
Lastly, whatever happened to the good old fashion common sense of our fellow Americans who found it necessary to fight over, or store large amounts of toilet paper, for God’s sake. While many of those same fools are lining up willingly-waiting with their wrists out in front, to be hypothetically hand-cuffed by the government, in return for the false promise of money and safety.
But, in the meantime, it is of the utmost importance that we must not-fail-to-communicate with one another at the conclusion of this crisis. We must be steadfast in our convictions, and that we must come together as Americans and pledge to totally destroy the Democrat Party this November. This Democrat disease must be eradicated from our country at both the state and federal levels. For, if we do not destroy them, this country that we love and cherish, the one many of us grew up in, the one many of us defended with our blood, sweat and tears, will be gone forever. And this my fellow Americans, will be our final chance to save her.
For today, we must keep a cool head, just like Luke, and not panic, praying that this too will pass. Plan to survive and you will.
