Kia’s airport-based new model introduction a runway success

Kia's airport-based new model introduction a runway successAbbotsford, B.C. - You could say Kia, the South Korean automaker, is positively soaring these days.

The company’s Stinger halo car was named Canadian Car of the Year recently thanks to voters in the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada’s annual contest (a group which also named the 2019 Forte as “best small car”), while the brand has also been honoured by such groups as J. D. Power – sometimes eclipsing such perennial honourees as Lexus.

Chick-fil-A banned from San Antonio airport over alleged ‘legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior’

The San Antonio City Council has rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the San Antonio International Airport. The city has banned the chicken chain from setting up shop in the airport due to the company’s alleged ‘legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.’ In a statement, a rep for Chick-fil-A said they would ‘still welcome the opportunity to have a thoughtful dialogue with the city council.’

Wayfarers passing through San Antonio International Airport will be out of luck if they’re craving Chick-fil-A’s crispy chicken or waffle fries, as the city council has banned the chicken-centric chain from opening up shop in the air hub due to the company’s alleged “legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.”

On Thursday, six members of the San Antonio City Council rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the airport, KTSA reports. The seven-year contract for concession management at the terminal is expected to create $2.1 million in revenue for the Texas city; the motion that passed gave the green light to food shops including Smoke Shack and Local Coffee.—More…

Klamath Dam Removal Agenda

Klamath Dam Removal AgendaThe nonprofit Institute for Trade, Standards and Sustainable Development (ITSSD) has once again waded into the local and D.C. swamps surrounding the ongoing Klamath Basin dam removal agenda of legacy bureaucrats and self-interested politicians.

Last week, ITSSD notified the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia of its intent to participate as an Amicus Curiae in the action filed in that court this past November by the Siskiyou County Water Users Association (SCWUA). The SCWUA had filed a Petition for Issuance of a Writ of Mandamus endeavoring to persuade the Court to compel the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to make a determination on SCWUA’s earlier administrative motion to dismiss the FERC dam license transfer, decommissioning and removal proceedings initiated by PacifiCorp.  FERC, of course, filed its opposition to SCWUA’s motion claiming it wasn’t merited under the facts presented.

ICE detainment centers have become so overwhelmed with illegal aliens that the agency has been forced to release over 100,000 migrant family members in the past three months.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Nathalie Asher, a senior official with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, revealed that her agency has had to reallocate resources as it deals with a “crushing” surge of illegal aliens on the country’s southern border. ICE has not only been forced to reduce its activity in the interior of the U.S., but the agency’s overcrowded detainment centers have released 107,000 migrant family members in the past three months, averaging more than 1,000 illegals a day.—More…..

Flashback: Beto Suggested Legalizing Cocaine To End Mexican Drug Cartel Violence Spilling ‘Everyday’

As Democratic candidates argue against President Trump that there is no national emergency due to illegal alien narcotic trafficking and other crimes, it is important to remember that one candidate is all too familiar with the violence caused by Mexican drug cartels. Then known as El Paso city Councilman Robert O’Rourke, the Texas native suggested a decade ago that the United States had to legalize drugs such as cocaine and marijuana in order to stop the killings and brutality plaguing his hometown daily. Today, he still holds this view on drugs but argues that the violence does not exist anywhere at all on the border anymore.

“We feel the violence every day,” O’Rourke told CNN on March 20, 2009 . “The cartels control [Juarez], and that spills over onto the U.S. side.”—More….

Van Jones: Joe Biden Trying to Put on ‘Diversity Jacket’ with Abrams

Appearing Thursday afternoon on CNN, network contributor Van Jones said a decision by former Vice President Joe Biden to name failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as his 2020 running mate would be an attempt at boosting his “diversity” bona fides.

BROOKE BALDWIN: Let’s start on — good to see you my — friend on this potential Biden/Abrams ticket. Let’s look at it first from the Biden perspective — risks/rewards.

VAN JONES: I think he’s trying to accommodate the fact that people may be saying “do we really want to have another straight white guy? Can’t we have a little bit more diversity?” So, maybe he’s trying to put on a little big of a diversity jacket, have a diversity beard, you know, for himself. I think though, the downsides of it for him are this is very, very risky. First of all, we don’t know enough about the country yet. You got to get through the primary. We’re going to be surprised by who responds to what arguments, which states go which way. This early — to decide you know who’s going to be the best help for you as vice president, I think is very premature. The other problem is,  the other part of this demographic profile, is his age. Whoever he picks to be vice president because of his age, hey, listen, that person could be president in 20 minutes.—More…..
