God is laughing

As men continue their plots and earth's leaders push for superior position and demagogues and delegates meet for their vain summits in the conspiracy of all conspiracies, God laughs. The ever increasing anti-semitisim and persecution of christians is really a war against the Messiah(Psalm 2:4). God laughs because His attributes include sovereignty, omnipotence and immutability so he knows well the absolute vanity of the rebellion of foolish men to thwart His will and His purposes. The laughter quickly becomes supreme contempt followded by anger. He is not amused. Can His wrath be far behind?

The rule of law does not allow for selective application

If you have been listening at all to Justin Trudeau's talk either in the House of Parliament or to the media you know he talks a lot about "the rule of law" as though he actually believes in it. When Canada found itself in the uncomfortable position of having to arrest and detain Meng Wanzhou, a Chinese national and executive with Huawei Technologies the reason given by Trudeau to China, and correctly so, was the rule of law. He had no choice but to to accommodate the lawful request by the U.S. for her extradition on fraud charges relating to violating sanctions on Iran.

Who is Leonard Tilley?

Who is Leonard Tilley? It would be a most useful exercise for Canadians to review our rich history and beginnings to make a proper evaluation of where we are now headed. Our native peoples, Vikings from Scandinavia, missionaries in the new colony of New France founded by French explorer Jacques Cartier and the early inhabitants of Newfoundland founded by English explorer John Cabot were some of the pillars in our early beginnings. One of our forgotten heroes was a man called Leonard Tilley, then Premier of New Brunswick and one of the true Fathers of Confederation. He attended all three Confederation conferences and was one of the architects of our early national policy. Tilley was a member of the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly almost continuously between 1850 and 1867.

Righteousness still matters!

It is most unfortunate that significant words in our English language have been greatly diminished if not forgotten. "Righteousness" is just such a word." If you were to ask the average Canadian on the street what the word means you most likely would be rewarded with a blank look instead of an answer. Most Canadians would agree that qualities like virtue, integrity and honesty are still important and expected of the people we elect in government. These values in fact are the very foundation of our society and to quote the ancient king David who once raised the question "If the foundations be destroyed what can the righteousness do?" When corruption creeps into a company or government you need not be a rocket scientist to predict the ultimate end unless the condition is seriously dealt with. To the extent that a society or government values and insists upon integrity in government to that extent and in exact proportion will that nation prosper. Which brings us to the latest scandal with Justin Trudeau and his government making headlines across the country. To anyone watching the goings on in parliament in Question Period is quite evident we have a Prime Minister very skilled in not answering even simple "yes or no" questions. His government is richly adding to the Liberal Party's history of fiscal irresponsibility and running large deficits. Justin Trudeau is has "enhanced" his party's reputation with virtually a litany of broken promises. In a matter of three and one half short years he seems bent on breaking all records for scandals, the latest one being the SNC-Lavalin scandal. Canadians took a chance on Justin Trudeau and his promise for "real change" and gave him a majority government. He has squandered the generosity of Canadians with a litany of broken promises, short-sighted policies such as large tax increases and a seemingly endless supply of scandals. To re-elect him and his government would be a scandal by the Canadian people.

The battle for the soul of a once great nation

If you have been following the Brett Kavanaugh saga you get the feeling there is more to this than just a "he said - she said" thing. You get the feeling you are witnessing the struggle for the soul of a nation. For America it is the both the best and worst of times. The blessing of a booming economy and a nation presently at peace around the globe is offset by a deadly threat to the cherished values of a free nation and even democracy itself.

Andrew Scheer deserves to be our next Prime Minister

Andrew Scheer delivered what was undoubtedly his most important Speech as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada to a crowd of 3000 very enthusiastic delegates in Halifax on Friday and they have every reason to be enthusiastic. He showed himself to be bright, articulate, genuine and humble, all excellent qualities for any aspiring leader. For fifty-five minutes he was able to keep the interest of the crowd with a well thought out speech covering key issues of concern to Canadians such as the infamous carbon tax, immigration, the endless degradation of our rich Canadian heritage and tax relief for the working Canadian. At the same time we got a little better insight into the man himself, his roots and his vision for the country. It was a brilliant, well focused address.

Why the silence on the new anti-semitism?

After the Holocaust which saw the systematic annihilation of six million Jews by Hitler's Nazi's the UN General Assembly unreservedly condemned all manifestations of religious and ethnic intolerance with a resolution that would remind future generations of this horror to prevent such events ever happening again. This turning point in history prompted the world to say "never again."

Pilate also washed his hands

President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital was the right thing to do and a predictable and appropriate response to former President Barack Obama's benighted decision to engineer the U.N. Security Council resolution to declare Judaism's holiest places in Jerusalem to be occupied territory and a "flagrant violation under international law.

Justin Trudeau's Disturbing Friends

It is pretty much an axiomatic saying that you can tell an awful lot about someone by the friends they keep. With that in mind consider some of Justin Trudeau's friends and you can get a better idea where his policies are coming from.

He's making a list and checking it twice

We are not talking about the imagined action of an overrated Santa Claus here. After the UN denounced President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Capital of Israel the Trump administration has negotiated big cuts to the UN's budget. Trump is not known for bluffing and he is actually taking the names of those countries who voted against his decision on Jerusalem. The UN has readily taken millions in aid money from U.S. taxpayers over many years.

Selective respect for diversity

One of Justin Trudeau's favorite and oft repeated rhetorical falsities is a so called Liberal respect for diversity and differences of opinion in Parliament. He clearly demonstrated just how much he really respects diversity and differences of opinion when his government with the cooperation of the NDP contemptuously ousted Conservative MP Rachel Harder as chair of the status of women committee because of her "pro-life" convictions.

An agreement that will live in infamy

Justin Trudeau is not even halfway through his first mandate and continues to make make the kind of grievous decisions that will almost surely guarantee he will never see a second term as PM.

Atrocities of North Korea Regime Underreported

North Korea has spectacularly gained the attention of America, the West and indeed the entire world with their continued nuclear tests and reckless threats against America and other allies. The threat is certainly real and well reported but not so well reported is their deplorable human rights atrocities.

Trudeau power grab not "modernization"

Remember all those fine sounding phrases like "real change", "transparency" and "accountability" we heard from Justin Trudeau in his successful campaign to become Prime Minister?

Evil can never be good nor darkness light

Both eulogies and epithets continue to flow from politicians, journalists, entertainers and various heads of state for Fidel Castro since his death. He has been described by some as a tireless advocate for equity, champion of the poor, an iconic figure and other misguided and overly generous praises.

What does anarchy have in common with democracy?

If anyone is confusing the current insanity on display in Portland, Oregon as even being remotely related to democracy they totally misunderstand that all of our freedoms come with limits. What has happened in the once beautiful city is an American tragedy. The once beautiful and peaceful City of Roses is now the city of unlawful squatters and anarchists. Like him or hate him Donald Trump won the presidency fair and square.

Trump saw and rode the wave to victory

Down through history there have been a few men who could see what others were blind to and remake history. Such a man is Donald Trump. He successfully tapped into a wave of populace unrest, dissatisfaction with the establishment and desire for change and seized the opportunity to become the 45th President of the United States.

Is Trudeau's vision ours?

It is clear that the general public around the world is becoming increasingly impatient with the establishment and out of touch media and politicians more insistent on furthering their own agendas than the will of the people. The epidemic of political correctness has reached absurd proportions and people are getting sick of it. Take the absurdity of Justin Trudeau and the Liberals changing the wording of our cherished national anthem to a gender-neutral version as an example.

Yes, the threat of terrorism is real Mr. Prime Minister

You can hardly blame Canadians if we continue to have lingering doubts about just how serious Justin Trudeau is about terrorism. His delayed response in even commenting on the alleged plot that led to the death of Aaron Driver in Strathroy Ontario is hardly reassuring.

Globalists the big losers with Brexit

A popular revolution against globalism is well underway globally and globalists like George Soros, with his political, financial and media elite friends are not happy. Britain may well have struck the first blow in a populist movement that could see more EU members have their own referendums to leave and the distinct possibility of the eventual unravelling of the EU.
