Arne Duncan: White suburban moms don't like Common Core because it shows their kids aren't so brilliant

You sort of figure that this is what liberals sound like when they gather behind closed doors amongst themselves. The condescension rules, toward white suburbanites, toward Christians, toward just about everybody other than them. But what's really fun is when one of them gets around just enough fellow travelers that he forgets he's actually in public. That's when you get statements like this:

Democrat freakout getting pretty awesome as ObamaCare implodes

We should enjoy this. Oh sure, the damage ObamaCare is doing to the nation is catastrophic. With the passage of one horrendous piece of legislation, they've virtually destroyed the health insurance market and left millions in the lurch. Worse: There is really no practical way to fix it because the insurers spent three years adjusting their business models and negotiating new terms with health providers in preparation for this very thing.

Meet the 20-something morons in Colorado's ObamaCare ads

Young Obama voters, congratulations. This is what your president thinks of you. And maybe he has a point. For anyone to buy the nonsense Obama peddled in the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, you really would have to be kind of a moron. Let's be honest. But it's still a little surprising that the same marketing community clever enough to present Obama as a viable president of the United States could let its guard down long enough to make it clear they think young adults in America are complete idiots. Yet there's no other way to interpret the real, authentic ObamaCare ads (really, this is not a spoof we came up with, and for that I'm disappointed in us) offered at doyougotinsurance.com. It must be seen to be believed, so let's see a few:

Feinstein and Landrieu: Let's force those awful insurers to restore those substandard plans

The first thing you need to remember is that Democrats always come up with a narrative in which they didn't screw up. The second thing you need to remember is that anything they do will hue to the narrative. The third thing is this: They will always do whatever they can think of to save their own asses, but whatever it is cannot contradict the first two things.

Thud: Only 50,000 have signed up through HealthCare.gov

Remember the premise that was supposed to justify ObamaCare. There were how many desperately lacking health insurance? 45 million? 47 million? So the government would create this whole new heath insurance apparatus, put it all online, offer subsidies, and all these people who so badly desired health insurance would rush to sign up. Huh? Remember that?

U.S. going way too easy on Iran, say . . . French socialists?

You think it's just Benjamin Netanyahu who is horrified at the easy deal the Obama Administration is prepared to give Iran over nuclear weapons? Well, it is him, but not only him. Far from it. How bad have things gotten when the socialist government of France thinks you're being a patsy?

Reid: 'Get over it. It's the law. It's the legacy of Barack Obama and always will be'

You're well aware of the nature of Harry Reid, so it's not like anyone is going to be shocked that he thinks this way. And of course, Reid is not known for restraining his tongue. But isn't it still kind of astonishing, even coming from him, to hear such utter disregard for the real-life hardships being imposed on people because we really need to be thinking about the "legacy of Barack Obama"?

Pastor releases balloon that drops Bibles into North Korea

If any North Koreans are reading this, you will want to heed this caution: If Bowl Cut Jr. finds out you picked up one of the Bibles, you could end up in a labor camp along with the next three generations of your family. That's how Dennis Rodman's pal does things in a land where the practice of Christianity is most decidedly illegal.

HHS knew HealthCare.gov would malfunction with only 1,100 users on the site

If you're not in the business of running web sites, maybe you don't have a full perspective on the type of audience 1,100 represents. Let me give you an idea: HermanCain.com, which you are on right now, has handled 1,100 concurrent visitors or more with no problem for most of today. We've handled three times that much on our highest traffic days, and when we did, our excellent web company DynamiX had to put some additional servers to work, but it was no big deal.

Sebelius responds to bipartisan calls to delay ObamaCare: No way

Even Democrats are starting to plead with the White House to acknowledge the obvious - that they can't just keep going forward with a full head of steam as if nothing is wrong. But they're either in deep denial or they're so fearful of the political hit that would come with any admission of a problem, they won't hear of it.

Remember Obama promising to reduce premiums $2,500 per family? Ha! ObamaCare will jack up premiums 41 percent

You've been hearing a lot about the most famous of Obama's broken promises. No, you can't keep your health care plan if you like it. But that's far from the only promise he made repeatedly. He also promised to lower people's premiums by $2,500 per family per year. In case you don't believe me - courtesy of the excellent Avik Roy - here he is making that promise 19 times:

Holder: Hey, we're still thinking about charging George Zimmerman

I wonder how long the Obama Administration intends to continue this tease before they admit there's not even a hint of a case to be made against George Zimmerman. Probably as long as they can, since it's hard to argue they're violating Zimmerman's constitutional rights by having an investigation - and they sure won't be concerned with the money they're spending on it.

CBS: White House ignored adviser's 2010 warning it was 'losing control of ObamaCare'

As much as we carp on the mainstream media for dereliction of its duty - richly deserved almost without exception - we have to give credit to CBS News for the excellent and determined reporting it's doing now on the problems with ObamaCare. I know, they should have paid more attention over the past three years. But be that as it may, no one is doing better work at the moment of exposing what is wrong with ObamaCare than CBS.

Ayotte calls for ObamaCare 'time out': How long can Dems do nothing?

It's easy to scoff when a northeastern squish like Kelly Ayotte calls on Democrats to accept a "time out" on ObamaCare, whatever that means. After all, if establishment types like her hadn't run for the tall grass when Ted Cruz and House Republicans were trying to use their leverage to force changes before implementation, we might have avoided the cancellation notices, the web site disaster, etc.
