It’s For Your Own Good

Since I've been otherwise occupied making a living, it's reassuring to know that my government is looking out for me. In just the last month, our tireless public servants have proposed numerous measures that will make my life better and more worry free.

My Liberal Friend

My liberal friend Pam and I are a perfect example of the class warfare currently being waged in America between the 'haves' and the 'have nots.' Also known as 'the war against the rich,' or, in a nutshell, socialism.

Is Obama Trying To Bankrupt America?

Inquiring minds want to know: Is Obama trying to bankrupt America? One short year ago, asking this this question would have guaranteed my inclusion among the ranks of right-wing nuts and/or conspiracy theorists. Today, it is a serious question being asked by Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh and many other leading conservatives. Here's why.

I Was A ‘Useful Idiot’

For the first 39 years of my life, I was a walking, talking useful idiot. I believed without question what I saw on TV, and adopted as fact whatever I saw in the newspaper headlines.

White Racism, Part 2

Although I didn't vote for Barack Obama, I welcomed the election of a black man to America's highest office. I assumed his election signaled that white America had finally atoned for the sin of slavery. I assumed that Martin Luther King's dream of judging a man by the content of his character instead of the color of his skin had become a reality.

Hey Obama - You’re Not My Daddy

When I left home at age 18, I breathed a sigh of relief. Free at last. I was legally of an age where I assumed the right to make my own decisions. No longer could my mother tell me to eat my vegetables, to quit smoking, to clean my room or to modify my behavior to someone else's standards. Heady stuff.

Mort Zukerman, editor-in-chief of US News and World Report, in his article, How To Get Americans Working Again opines that there is no snap answer as to how accelerate job growth. He is wrong.

Obama Heckled, Brown Surges And Dems Panic

Obama's stump speech yesterday for embattled Mass. Senate wannabee Martha Coakley was interrupted for a full three minutes by a heckler. Adding insult to injury, the 3,000 seat auditorium wasn't full. Even with the added attraction of Boy Clinton as a draw. And horror of horrors, Obama's speech seems to have rallied support for Coakley's opponent. In a presentation Byron York described as halting, wandering and humorless, Obama tried desperately to rally support for the hapless Coakley to take control of the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. As the much needed 60th vote, a Coakley win is crucial for Obama's health care bill. Or maybe not.

You Can’t Say That!

imageSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid has been caught in a firestorm that appears likely to undermine his political viability. His sin? He was actually caught telling the truth. Gasp. Harry's problem stems from the fact that certain truths are no longer allowed to be uttered in the public square. As former Harvard president Lawrence Summers found out in 2005 when he dared to point out that men and women had differing proclivities for math and science. That factual comment was enough to get him fired. After being forced to issue multiple public mea culpas for offending the sensitivities of feminist elites by challenging their fallacious dogma of male-female sameness, Summers was forced to fork over a cool $50 million to feminist studies groups as penance. That'll teach him.

Public Servants Gone Wild

The employees I originally hired to handle certain aspects of my life are out of control. Drunk with the power I have given them, they have decided that they know better than I how to arrange my life. And there's not much I can do.

Obama: America’s Gift To Terrorists

For al Qaeda and other terrorists across the globe, Obama is the gift that just keeps on giving. The fanatical Muslim terrorists who are intent on wiping out every man woman and child that doesn't accept Allah as God was just handed another victory by the President of the United States.

Enough!

I have been a law-abiding citizen all my life. I've always played by the rules. That is about to change. The early morning passage today of the Senate health care bill requires every American to purchase health insurance. I refuse. I will not abide by this bill if it is passed into law. And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it. I've had enough.

Uncle Obama’s Extortion Racket

Uncle Obama has gotten ahold of your credit card. And he's amassing charges on it that - you - not he - are liable for. You can call the fraud line, you can call the police, you can call any politician or government agency, and they will all tell you the same thing. Shut up and pay up.

America’s Great Leap Forward

imageThose who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. When Barack Obama was campaigning for president in 2007, his backers frequently compared him to former president John F. Kennedy. After a year in office, however, President Obama's words and actions align more closely with China's despotic Chairman Mao than with JFK's. When Mao Tse Tung conquered China in 1949, his secret goal was to dominate the world. When Obama was elected President, many started referring to him as President of the World. Both Obama and Mao had carte blanche to set out a path of radical change. As part of his strategy, Mao informed his top echelon, "There has to be a personality cult...it is absolutely necessary."* With the aid of the state media, Mao crafted an iconic image of himself as the savior of the common man. Propaganda was everywhere - including the fields where workers could listen to messages from Mao as they worked. Sound familiar?
