Okay, I have to admit I was bummed out yesterday. Barack Obama has won another four years in the White House, which means we’ll have four more years of the same arrogance, elitism, and incompetence as we had during the last four years. The man is all out of ideas. The rhetoric he spewed during the 2012 campaign was almost identical to his 2008 campaign, so we have no reason to believe he’ll behave any differently.

In almost the same breath, he announced he’d appear on the David Letterman Show. Of course we all know the president is a very busy man, and he does have his priorities.

Divide and Conquer

From the “Hope and Change” rhetoric of 2008, Barack Obama has modified his theme to “Divide and Conquer,” but he hasn’t put it on a bumper sticker. In fact, he hasn’t mentioned it once. I guess he’s hoping the rest of us won’t notice. But for the past four years, this president has either blamed his predecessor, President George W. Bush, for his woes, or practiced class warfare par excellence. He has pitted different segments of society against others, as he cleverly demonized one side in an effort to gain support from the other.
