Another TEOTWAWKI Nothing-Burger

Trump A spokesperson for the special counsel disputed BuzzFeed's junk report, calling it "inaccurate." -- Cristina Laila "BuzzFeed got nuked by Mueller's office after they floated a fake news...report" As most of you know by now the media's latest TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) hair-on-fire anti-Trump hysteria has turned out to be yet another nothing-burger. Surprise, surprise, yawn. Another "bombshell report" that turns out to be nothing but a firecracker, if that.

They're not after me, They're after you. I'm just in the way.

As the lame-stream-media continues to plumb hitherto unknown depths of irrelevancy and dishonesty, We the People are increasingly tuning them out and turning to alternate (i.e. trustworthy) sources for our news. "The Daily Caller," "Gateway Pundit," "Canada Free Press..." and of course radio. By trial and error, We the People have learned to separate the wheat from the chaff, the trustworthy from propaganda, valid news from intentional disinformation. One thing for sure--the old fossil news organizations can no longer be trusted. These days only hopelessly hypnotized sheeple pay them any attention at all. Sean Hannity has been reporting on the death of journalism in America for years. Michael Gerson wrote an article titled "The strange, sad death of journalism" back in 2009. I dislike media bias as much as the next conservative. But I don't believe that journalistic objectivity is a fraud. I was a journalist for a time, at a once-great, now-diminished newsmagazine. I've seen good men and women work according to a set of professional standards I respect -- standards that serve the public. -- Michael Gerson "Professional standards"--ah those were the days. The days of ethics -- not "situational ethics," but ethics, period. You remember ethics...right? Ethics -- a branch of philosophy that involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong conduct. I will leave with this parting caveat. The next time you hear, read, or watch some anti-Trump hysteria keep in mind the photo meme of President Trump with the caption "In reality they're not after me, they're after you. I'm just in the way." That's the truth of things.
