Just how damned stupid are you, Boehner?

I’m IN

“Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in”. (Michael Corleone, Godfather III 1990) I decided I needed a couple of days off and sat heavily in a world of confusing ideas and fear of stepping forward into new endeavors. Today, January 31, 2014, the headline in Politico was: “House leaders sell immigration blueprint.” It was a copyrighted story detaining the prevailing apparent thoughts being bandied about in caucus and privately amongst the Republican hierarchy in the House of Representatives.
People keep doing things making me step up and demand I (and hopefully YOU) be listened to drew me to the Corleone quote. It’s not a sure thing that everybody in Congress is a grafting, spoiled, sycophantic, low-brow slug but there’s enough slime coating the marble to make it seem so. For years we’ve argued the point Illegal Immigration isn’t a theory to be bandied about. It’s an illegal act committed against the people of the United States as foreign nationals passively invade America from outside its borders. While some Democrat Party hacks will tell you it’s more of an administrative matter than an invasion because many of the now alluded to “undocumented aliens” are decent people. But; it’s also to be seen and assured many of the people stumbling across the borders are coming here to do harm to us and our legal system. Drug runners, prostitutes looking for newer possibilities and simple people seeking a better life but trying to anchor themselves to this country by birthing their children on American soil all compound the problem.

Americans, especially stupid politicians, have this prejudice based on their altruistic and goody-two-shoes idea ALL Hispanics are “Speedy Gonzales”, the cute, hyper-quick little mouse outwitting “el poosy cat” at every turn. It’s cute, it’s comical and it’s a cartoon character having nothing based in fact. Hispanics are people. They’re human. They therefore are the most dangerous animals on the planet along with every other man, woman and child of any ethnic origin. Many of these people are more akin to “Gold Hat” the Mexican bandit in the “Treasure of the Sierra Madre” than any cuddly and cute cartoon character. According to the Politico article, “The House Republican leadership is trying to sell their colleagues on a series of broad immigration principles, including a path to legal status for those here illegally.” John Boehner’s introduced written, directive principles at an annual policy retreat. He’s trying to combat Nancy Pelosi’s demand for amnesty and citizenship or nothing at all. Her particular brand of scorched earth policy making in government is growing thin. Again, Boehner’s drawing a line in the sand for the Democrats to step across without jeopardy. It’s happened so many times the earth is no more than a beach with shifting sandbars blocking nothing. It may appear he’s resolute and commanding. In reality he’s a weak, capitulating hull with a marshmallow keel. Whenever the political seas get a little choppy Boehner heads for safe harbor and tells tales of his mighty seamanship while trying to wrest the ship of state from the madness of Captain Nancy Ahab and Lieutenant Commander Harry (Reid) Queeg. He invariably fails. It’s a shame we must recognize the congress has become not only blind to criminality but, it prefers to redefine the concepts of lawlessness as no more than “administrative’ regulations being obviated. They then dismiss the infractions against the sovereignty of the United States to assure they can gain a larger voter base. The same story stated: “Some Republicans fear of the political fallout from immigration reform, but the proposal suggests GOP leaders are taking the long view: Republicans need to woo the booming Hispanic population to stay relevant.” In order to maintain that line in the sand Boehner spits the following pabulum to show his resolution: “It’s important to act on immigration reform because we’re focused on jobs and economic growth, and this is about jobs and growth,” Boehner said in his pitch in the closed meeting. “Reform is also about our national security. The safety and security of our nation depends on our ability to secure our border, enforce our laws, improve channels for legal entry to the country, and identify who is here illegally.” So the way to ensure national security and create jobs and foster growth is to import more and more alien workers and unemployed people to compete for the few jobs already being fought over by unemployed citizens of this country? You’ll allow millions of criminals defined by the fact they’re here without accomplishing the requirements of LEGAL immigration, to enter the job force and displace one citizen in favor of gaining the vote of an illegal? Just how damned stupid are you, Boehner? That’s a displacement of voter impact and power; NOT a gain. One step forward answered by one step backward. I’m old, tired and angry. I feel the Corleone quote is a curse in its own way. But it is the truth. As long as this government keeps selling out the people put them in control: I’M IN! And, you flat-footed, gin swilling, cigarette smelly charlatan, people like me will keep peeling back your layers like a rotting onion to expose the mess you really are. Thanks for nothing. And to my fellow concerned citizens who are “STILL IN”: Thanks for Listening.
