Oslo and Profanity for Profane Times

"Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer." -- Mark Twain (1835-1910) "If you can't say #, you can't say, '# the government.'" -- Lenny Bruce (1925-1966) "I've been accused of vulgarity. I say that's bulls--t." -- Mel Brooks Before getting into the meat of this article I would like to briefly discuss the recent acts of terrorism in Oslo, Norway. No sane person, and certainly no Christian worthy of the name, could possibly condone such horrific activity. Link

Yet our purveyors of leftist anti-American doublethink -- the media -- have been quick to promulgate the myth that the alleged perpetrator, Anders Breivik, is a "right-wing Christian fundamentalist." Link That is a lie. Breivik's manifesto has much more in common with the rantings of eco-nut Ted Kaczynski, than the teachings of Jesus Christ. But I will let that pass for the moment, and shortly direct attention to some other whoppers that the mass media have told us. These lies, or Sorelian myths if you prefer, are sometimes given as evidence of the media's hypocrisy and double-standards. I prefer to call the media bald-faced liars -- it's more to the point. Link Link The "New York Times" headlined one of its articles about the Oslo killings: "As Horrors Emerge, Norway Charges Christian Extremist." This is the same newspaper that forgot how to spell "Islam" after the Islamist Ft. Hood murders. The pro-Islamic/anti-Christian bias in the media is palpable. Link Link In the chapter on the Decalogue ( the Ten Commandments), in his book "What We Can't Not Know," J. Budziszewski states, "Even a liar's speech expresses something true; it may not tell us the state of the world, but it tells us the state of his heart." Link The state of the media's heart is rotten, corrupt, and arrogant. They have become little more than an overt fifth column for the neo-Nazi NWO. Their anti-Judeo/Christian, anti-American agenda is now clearly visible through the tattered remnants of their ludicrous facade of "journalistic integrity." (Sidebar: Although Communists and Islamists are, of course, important players in the ongoing war against Western Civilization (Europe is crumbling and America on its way), I would say that the overall gestalt of the NWO is shaping up to be more of a neo-Nazi version of Far Left totalitarianism, than anything else). Link Link The Left lies, and the Far Left lies incessantly, as a matter of course. I've known people like that -- pathological liars-- who lie when the truth would serve them just as well, if not better. They do it just to stay in practice I suppose. or simply because it has become such an ingrained habit that they cannot help themselves. Link Being for the most part atheists (in practice if not in name), the Left has no spur to goad them toward honesty. Atheism's whole Byzantine house of cards ultimately rests on a nihilistic foundation of -- nothing. "Thin air" would be an improvement -- at least "thin air" is some thing. Atheists have no reason not to lie. Anything that serves the human ego is on the table, while anything that serves the Creator is anathema. Link Be that as it may: following are three examples of some of the numerous lies that the media has told "we the people" --the tip of the tip of the iceberg. These lies should be kept in mind as "news" about the Oslo atrocity continues to be fed to us in the coming weeks and months. Link Media Lie: Hitler was a Christian fundamentalist. This statement is sometimes coupled with the accusation that Hitler's radical Christianity was the direct cause of the Holocaust. The Truth: Hitler despised Christianity. The only religion that Hitler had any respect for was Islam, whose totalitarian methods and messages he admired. Link Link Media Lie: Following the Jonestown mass suicide in 1978, the media implied that Reverend Jim Jones was a right-wing Christian wacko, who used religion as a means to trap people inside his insane "Death Cult" agenda. Talk of his radical Marxism was almost uniformly swept under the rug. The Truth: Jim Jones was a Far Left radical, who used Christianity as a front for his Marxist agenda. One of his last acts was to send money to (then) communist Russia. He was as left-wing as they get. The Far Left and death fit together like a knife and sheath -- check out some history (honest history). Link Media Lie: Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was a Far Right Christian militia nut. The Truth: Timothy McVeigh was a Far Left agnostic with ties to radical Islam (via Terry Nichols) and neo-Nazism. As faithful readers well know, I have pointed out the reasons why Fascism (and its subset Nazism) is a Far Left collectivist doctrine numerous times. That the media and clueless liberals continue to call the Nazis "right-wing" is bad enough, but that patriotic conservatives continue to do so is beyond the pale. Here's a handy mnemonic that might help: "Nazis are left-wing, Nazis are left-wing -- 'Socialist Workers Party,' hello? -- Nazis are left-wing." Link Link Link Link To call new or old Nazis "right-wing," is such a gross distortion of the truth, that I have to rein myself in before I start spouting expletives whenever I hear the term "right-wing Nazi" -- which brings me around to profanity. Whenever I get upset thinking about how thoroughly, blatantly, and ceaselessly "we the people" have been, and are being, lied to by our politicians and media, I start rattling off the verbal equivalent of a string of firecrackers going off (with the occasional cherry bomb thrown in). In short, I vent. Link This is why writing is my forte, and not radio or TV. Did you ever see that clip of Glenn Beck going ballistic on one of his radio callers? Well, that would be me on a daily, if not an hourly, basis. As for TV interviews; one "Yeah, well # you" out of me, and I doubt George Stephanopoulos would ever ask me back. Link If I did not have the luxury of editing my writing before submitting it for publication, my profanities would melt computer screens. The extemporaneous world of live radio and TV is not for the likes of me -- years of working in rough trades, and frequenting waterfront bars, where profanity-laced language was the lingua franca, have left their mark. Hit one of my "hot buttons" and I regress to salty language hard won, long used, and deeply embedded. This is not to say that I can't be shown in public, or that I don't know how to restrain my language. I can bite my tongue with the best of them, but it slows down my speech, and does my rep for quick repartee no favors. My inner censor automatically translates a thought such as "Screw that bulls--t!" into "Gee, I strongly disagree with that." When I am very upset and/or angry about something, my inner censor kicks into over-drive, and my speech becomes halting and slow as a result. I watched Laura Ingraham on the "O'Reilly Factor" the other night (I know, I know, but it was suggested that I watch a repeat of the show, just for the segment with Laura). Ms. Ingraham's arguments -- sans profanities -- exhibited a self-control that I found admirable, although I have my doubts about wishing to emulate her in this regard. Link I realize that by occasionally using profanity I no doubt annoy and/or offend a number of readers who would otherwise enjoy my articles, and that I run the risk of appearing boorish and parochial. So I use invectives judiciously, if at all. Indeed, most of my articles are profanity free. I use profanity for emphasis, color, and to express strong disdain or anger, but if that was all I used it for, I would probably dispense with it altogether, as being an unwarranted distraction. The main reason that I use profanities in some of my articles is to shake my PC cage a bit -- to rattle my chains, as it were. I have never been a big fan of being told what to think, and how to speak. Also, profanity serves as a reminder that the stakes we are playing for are extremely high, and that fair-play, good taste, and "hail fellow well met" attitudes are at times inappropriate for the down and dirty tactics we might sometimes have to use in order to fight effectively for America's survival. This ain't "play time" kiddies, and it is no time to be hobbled by the niceties of cultured society -- not when the destruction of Western Civilization itself is at hand. The enemy deals in lies, low blows, and subterfuge, and it would be nothing short of suicidal to be afraid to "get our hands dirty," or worry overly much about the finer points of polite discourse, with a knife pressed to our throats. Link In addition to using discretion regarding when and where I use profanity, I also make use of the "em dash" to substitute for letters, or symbol tropes, feeling confident that readers will get the drift of such statements as "@#&% Congress!" The use of em dashes and symbols allows me to get my point across, while at the same time allowing me to show some respect for my reader's sensibilities. Is profanity for everyone? Should every author and/or commentator use profanity? No, of course not, but I believe that there is a place for writers such as myself, who use expletives sparingly and with, dare I say, a certain decorum. The main point that I wish to get across here is that I don't use cuss words just for grins. I give the various pros and cons surrounding expletives a fair bit of thought before deciding whether or not to include these words in any given article -- and my articles never use the Lord's name in vain. Link If you are not infuriated by the traitorous behavior of our government "representatives," media, and courts, then either you are a traitor yourself, or have chosen to remain willfully blind, or are popping some powerful "downers," or you are one blissed-out Obi-Wan. Personally, it p--ses me off no end. The trick is to transmute that passion into coherent, focused, cool-headed action -- which does NOT include the indiscriminate killing of innocent people or other forms of terrorism. We will leave that to the Far Left, and other assorted nuts. Link Laus Deo. P.S. August 2 will be the fifth anniversary of the death of Navy SEAL Marc Alan Lee, KIA in Iraq on Aug. 2, 2006.
