Caroline, Ted Kennedy, Senator Barack Obama

Passing the Torch of Camelot to a New Generation of Democrat

President John F. Kennedy changed the world with his inaugural address on January 20, 1961, including these poetic words, "Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans..."

Forty-seven years later, prominent descendants of JFK are attempting to pass the torch of leadership within the Democrat Party to not only to a new generation, but to a person of color as well, for the first time in history. Which is why Caroline Kennedy, daughter of JFK, endorsed the campaign of Senator Barack Obama in an important op-ed piece in the New York Times on Sunday. It is also why Senator Ted Kennedy, younger brother to JFK, will follow his niece's lead by endorsing Senator Obama's presidential bid today. Apparently, Camelot has decided that "black is beautiful!" And who can argue the point when it comes to the charismatic and youthful Obama? In signing on with Obama, the Kennedy Klan joined John Kerry and other respected liberals in stepping around a smarmy, over 60, congenital liar who is married to a sexually perverted perjurer, also over 60. Clearly, the Clinton era has come and gone, at least in the minds of the Kennedy Klan! Of course, any self-respecting conservative will find it next to impossible to agree with anything originating with a Kennedy. But in this case, where the spiritual intent is to drive a dagger through the heart of the Clinton campaign, even the most dedicated conservative will wax pragmatic by exclaiming, "Well done, Camelot!"

John W. Lillpop is a recovering liberal. “Clean and sober” since 1992 when last he voted for a Democrat. For years, John lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, the very liberal sanctuary city which protects, rather than prosecutes, certain favored criminals.  John escaped the Bay Area in May and now lives in Pine Grove California where conservative values are still in vogue.
