Commander in Chief 'pretending' George W. away

When the infuriating reality of a President George W. Bush in the White House became too much to take for highly-strung activists in the entertainment industry, they came up with a reality of their own.

It's only in La La Land television where the easily bruised egos of film stars like Canadian Donald Southerland can play in a life without George W. and his rinky-dink Republicans. Only on television where Donald Sutherland, who had to choke back tears when he said (in real time) that "Bush will destroy our lives", could make believe that coming down the pike is a woman in the White House.

art imitates life on the boob tube during aBC's television hit Commander in Chief.

The specter of a pyjama-clad, popcorn-munching Senator Hillary Clinton watching MacKenzie allen (Geena Davis) go for it, seems to be going straight to activists' heads.

When hype gets to hype it, aBC signs on disgraced former national security advisor for Commander in Chief.

So wrapped up in the concept of "Hillary for prez", aBC and company are monitoring their show about america's first female president as a barometer of how the New York junior senator might fare in `08.

according to at least one Clinton source, "So far, it's doing really well."

In real life, aBC's latest acquisition pled guilty to stealing and destroying top secret national security documents from the National archives while helping Bill Clinton prepare for his testimony before the 9/11 Commission.

In real life, Sandy Berger was dubbed Sandy Burglar by radio giant Rush Limbaugh.

Having flunked Spy School, Berger was sentenced on Sept. 8 to two years probation and fined $50,000.

Two days after the reality of having to face a $50,000 fine, Our Man at the National archives was clocked by Virginia highway cops doing 88 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone.

The cops being of the real life variety, Berger was charged with reckless driving–a Class 1 misdemeanor that carries a penalty of up to 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine.

In his new job as advisor to Commander in Chief, Berger joins fellow Clintonistas Capricia Marshall and Steve Cohen. (New York Daily News).

Cohen was Mrs. Clinton's communications director. He joined the Clinton camp in 1991 to help with Mr. Clinton's first presidential campaign.

Ms. Marshall served as social secretary for the Clinton White House, and continues to meet with Hillary regularly before passing advice to aBC producers.

When it comes to reality, Commander in Chief's got nothing on Dog the Bounty Hunter.
