The united landowners of Ontario have suffered far too long; as urban dominated governments have aided and abetted the financial destruction of Ontarios rural economy. Through over-regulation and excessive legislation politicians and bureaucrats have transferred rural wealth and prosperity into the hands of urban monopolies and mega- bureaucracies. In addition, governments allow foreign commodities to be dumped into Ontarios marketplace. Substantial and significant trade injury to rural Ontario is sanctioned by our urban politicians as long as farmers are injured not industry.
On March 9 four convoys of farm tractors and equipment will enter Toronto and converge on Queens Park. Hogs and cattle will be brought to the legislative trough on the grounds of the legislature. Victims and witnesses to this government sponsored rural destruction will give evidence and testimony to the crimes against rural Ontario.
The united landowners will introduce legislation that will protect and defend our rural economy, heritage, and culture at this March 9th assembly. In addition existing legislation that harms and imposes injustice on rural Ontario will be rescinded and brought to the floor of the legislature.
Farmers and landowners have withstood an onslaught of injustice from both their political and business representatives. as our farms and rural businesses have suffered and burned, our elected representatives have fiddled and sang a tune of patience
Legislation to be tabled and enacted on March 9, 2005
The right to own, use, enjoy, and the opportunity to earn a living from private property is the basis of freedom and democracy. However this right does not supercede or allow an individual to cause harm or injury to another. Ownership rights shall not be abridged or usurped without due process of law: and shall include full, fair, and timely compensation. The federal government shall be requested to amend Canadas constitution, by inclusion of this statute in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
Private property shall not be rezoned, re-designated, or re-classified in any manner that limits the natural and private use of property without the owners prior written consent and approval. When in the course of societys advancement it becomes necessary in the public interest to abridge this fundamental right to private use, than full, fair, and timely compensation shall be awarded.
The will of the majority can never justify injustice upon individuals or restrictions on their freedom of choice in private matters. The present system of justice has been transformed and corrupted by the legal industry and insures the price of justice is beyond the reach and grasp of common people. This over priced and costly system insures justice can never be legally found. The right to trial by a jury of one's peers is fundamental in seeking justice, and persons accused of a regulatory infraction shall have the right to be tried by a jury of his/hers peers. any person prosecuted by the crown under a regulatory infraction, and found not guilty, shall be awarded punitive damages equal to twice the amount of the crowns cost to prosecute. In addition, all future legislation shall be written in plain language that is in common use and practice among the population.
Federal and Provincial government have created a bureaucratic environment that legalizes the theft of millions of dollars of rural business and farm income. This has taken place under the cloud of ineptness allowing foreign commodities to be illegally dumped, and using deceptive camouflage of food/environmental safety regulations to limit competition and monopolize the marketplace by disadvantaging small businesses. While respecting supply management all legislation that restricts or interferes with the domestic trade and commerce of legal Canadian commodities shall be rescinded. a full and complete accounting and audit of the cost of these bureaucratic intrusions and trade infractions shall be undertaken. all money found to be removed from rural landowners, farmers, and businesses shall be returned.
It is the natural course of human evolution for those with power to seek more, to the detriment of others. The Ontario government has over-stepped the bounds of good government by concentrating too much power in too few hands. It is fundamental in a free and democratic society that those closest to the problem/issue are most knowledgeable and best suited to solve the problem: for they also will bear the consequence of their actions. In order to respect this maxim, municipal governments shall be constituted to take control and jurisdiction over matters that pertain to their constituents and shall be charged with the responsibility of directing and advising the provincial legislature on these matters as directed by their constituents in open council.
For good government to flourish and be respected, authority must be restrained, with respect for the privacy and liberty of citizens enshrined as a caveat in each piece of legislation. The lack of checks and balances on the bureaucracy's thirst for authority has resulted in arbitrary and unjust enforcement. all entry onto private lands by government officials shall only be conducted with the informed consent of the property owner, or, under the authority of a search warrant duly sworn before a justice.
