Mass murder, Newark, Jose Carranza

The day the music died

By John Burtis

Sunday, August 12, 2007

Like many, I wasn't too surprised to learn that the primary suspect in the recent execution style murder of the three school kids in Newark was an illegal alien. After all, the politicians and the cops were all too silent on his immigration status as the investigation unfolded, a sure sign that something was up.

What came as a shock was the lengthy litany of his past trespasses and their severity. But you know the patented liberal response to the heinousness of Seor Jose Carranza's crimes – one bad apple doesn't make a barrel.

And then we learned why he killed the kids – for their cell phones. Something he could purchase for next to nothing at corner stores.

Seor Carranza was coddled by a ridiculously lax judicial system in a notoriously liberal state, where he was released on pitiably low bail on a 32 count indictment for the rape of a child and for threatening her and her family with the severest reprisals if they dared tip the cops to his abhorrent behavior.

And all of the above comes while proffering a phony social security card in today's America, flooded as it is with tens of millions of illegal alien scofflaws, lamisters, and maniacs, who routinely operate with stolen identities. And we're expected to believe that nobody in the creaking New Jersey criminal justice system thought to check this violent jamoke's immigration status while he was resting in the can before an understandingly liberal judge set him free at a reduced rate?

Oh, yes, he was also out on bail for being involved in an affray in a barroom. And while this doesn't rise to the occasion of rape and multiple homicide, Seor Carranza, proud resident of Peru, fence hopper, friend of the coyotes, killer of innocents, and now ready for bail again if he can pony up a million bucks, albeit higher this time than it was for his previous mix ups, even though the most narrowly ignorant of our citizenry can grasp the fact that poor Seor Carranza remains a serious flight risk. You know with pals and family south of the old porous border.

A few days ago I heard something on the news that sent a few chills up my spine. It had something to do with President Bush's refusal to strengthen the border while favoring the prosecution of border patrolmen, the reduction of the national guard at the borders, and hemming and hawing about the additional enforcement needed to keep Carranza and his ilk out.

And when you combine the supine spinelessness of the Democrats when it comes to enforcing any law save those which hinder the effective prosecution of the war against Islamist fascism and their plans to enrol millions of these illegals in their increasingly big tent and on their bogus voter rolls with the President's sheer reluctance to close our southern door and to enforce our existing laws, we can expect greater numbers of vicious fellows like Seor Carranza to slaughter our most vulnerable citizens.

One wag explained to me that at least he didn't kill a Democrat politician because that might have really spilled the paint. Indeed, it might have.

Imagine if poor suffering Seor Jose Carranza had forced the long suffering Mayor of Newark, the Hon. Cory Booker, onto his knees, and shot him and his traveling staff, execution style, for his cell phones and police radios.

My land, Jesse Jackson and Fighting Al Sharpton would be unstoppable in their calls for justice, especially so since the suspect was not black, but that safe sort of a hooligan, an undocumented Hispanic scalliwag with a lengthy rap sheet.

Even the those who have worshipped totally open borders like Ted Kennedy and John McCain would be forced to make "statements" as a result of such a heinous crime committed by an obvious malcontent who in no way represents the millions of hard working, family oriented, deeply religious bandits and ne'er-do-wells who hail from south of our non-existent border.

But sadly because it was three college kids who were offed, because congress was out of session, and because they were mown down in Newark, and since everybody knows that Newark is a hell hole, not many in the US Senate will take the podium to decry the slaughter of the innocents by the likes of Seor Carranza, nor will they propose to do anything about it.

Of course, nobody has mentioned a word about how this illegal alien, operating with phony ID, came into the possession of pistol. I noted that he hasn't been charged with this most horrible, liberal crime, an automatic felony for an American citizen.

In the end, three kids are dead and one may be maimed forever. Carranza is up for bail despite being a flight risk with a violent record, thanks to a judge who still doesn't get it. And congress will have learned nothing from it all, either, even though the once quaint indigenous music associated with Peru has abruptly died.
