Terrorists Proving Harder to Profile

There is no way on this earth to proactively or otherwise effectively profile an Islamic Jihadi.
It is an impossibility.
The fact is that John and Jane Q. Public are Uncle Sam's deployed eyes and ears. John and Jane Q. Public are Uncle Sam's most effective front-line anti-jihad sensors. And both are routinely calibrated to the benchmark that there are no jihadi's on American soil - or worse - even after the jihadi's commit acts of Islamic terrorism the deployed sensors are re-calibrated to accept that the commited acts weren't really acts of Islamic terrorism. Uncle Sam has knowingly short-circuited his front line Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) sensors.
All one needs is a good look at Mustafa Setmariam Nasar to understand in the physical sense why Islamic insurgents are impossible to profile.
And that would be an attemp to profile with Mustafa Setmariam Nasar passing directly in front of the profiler. He passes unscathed because he looks more nordic, Anglo-Saxon, Irish or Spanish than I do. And I am probably profiled as a racist in somebodies eyes for saying so.
The front-line profilers, John and Jane Q Public, had never read Setmariam Nasar's book nor had they seen his image on the TV every night when he really was a threat. How exactly is someone who looks like he's your next door neighbor profiled?
Then comes Sulejman Talovic, John Muhammed and Lee Malvo - average-looking American's. no? And Muhammed had a DD-214 to boot. None of them commited acts of Jiahd, according to Uncle Sam.
Not all jihadi's look like Imad Mughniyeh or Usama bin Ladin. Not all terrorists even look like Abu Nidal, Mohamed Atta, Saddam Hussein or Vladimir Putin. And then, we all know after-the-fact, that Mohammed Atta was imaged by airport CCD cameras boarding his flight and Saddam Hussein was immortalized on a mural smoking a celebratory cigar with Mohamed Atta's plane hitting the World Trade Center.
Islamic Jihadists look like a clean-shaven Johnny "Taliban" Walker or Adam Gadahn. And nobody is going to spot them on the street because according to Uncle Sam - they simply do not exist or are not here to do what they've done repeatedly.
Terrorist are harder to profile? No, they've never been profiled from the get-go.
Just ask Able Danger.
