January, 2017

President Donald Trump has issued a blunt warning to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel about his city’s out-of-control violence: “If the city doesn’t fix the horrible carnage going on, I’ll send the feds!”

Trump’s words sent shockwaves across the country.

Donald Trump – a white man whom the press has tried to paint as a racist – is ironically giving black America hope. What seemed like an impossible problem plaguing our inner cities now seems solvable.

The immigration freakout can’t keep up forever, so it’s time to watch for Media Frenzy 2.0

Yesterday we described in several commentaries Immigration Media Frenzy 1.0, which was the liberals and Democrats freaking out over the executive order on immigration by President Trump. The freak-out was based on lies. The order was not a ban on Muslims, it was not illegal, and it was not unconstitutional.

Additionally, the targeted countries had been specifically identified by the previous administration. The Trump Administration simply decided to enforce the laws within its powers. And! Previous administrations had issued similar executive orders.

Media trying pretty hard to get Super Bowl players to denounce Trump

It appears football players are much wiser than journalists. That probably comes as no surprise to most of you. Instead of football players I could have said “prison inmates” or “derelicts” or “mollusks,” and most of you would have considered it obvious that they are wiser than journalists. Maybe not more book-smart, mind you, but it’s one thing to be in possession of a lot of information. It’s another thing to be able to exercise good judgment in what you do with it.

You’d think the football aspect of the Super Bowl would provide more than enough angles for journalists to keep themselves busy as they cover the run-up to Sunday’s game between the Patriots and the Falcons. But that assumes they’d be satisfied to simply cover the game. That’s clearly not how things work at the moment. The media are on a collective mission to destroy Donald Trump, and one of the methods they hope to employ is the harnessing of cultural figures in unified denunciation of the president. They’ve been trying this for some time now with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, whom we’re told has to explain himself to the media for supporting Trump.

Waning Intelligence as the Leftist Mean Kiddies Still Fight to Control the USA

The Democrat Party and RINOs are placing all of us in jeopardy due to their lack of intelligence…or lack of any care for humanity other than themselves.  No…not security, top-secret or cyber intelligence.  It’s simply basic human intelligence to which I’m referring.  Over the last eight years, it seems to have completely vanished off the face of the Earth.  Since the election of US President Donald J. Trump in November, the Left in our country appear to be suffering from some malady that has sapped what had still remained of their fragile intellects.  In fact, these folks began blaming P.E. Trump for all manner of committed horrors before he had even taken office.  The horrors had actually been effected by their leftist icon Obama.  Oopsie…!

The Left has revealed their hypocrisy once again. They brag about being Liberal and deride the Right for being Conservative. Let’s see what those two terms mean and represent.

Liberal traditional meaning is Generous. Further defined in The Free Dictionary, it means:

  1. Favoring reform, open to new ideas, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; not bound by traditional thinking; broad-minded.
  2. Of, relating to, or characteristic of liberalism.
  3. Liberal Of, designating, or characteristic of a political party founded on or associated with principles of social and political liberalism, especially in Great Britain, Canada, and the United States.

The March to Nowhere

A day or two before the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump on January 20th, 2017, I watched a reporter interviewing five attractive, intelligent, articulate women from California, who were all making the long cross-country trip to the Women’s March on Washington on January 21st.

The Stepford Americans

Just today one of my leftist/liberal Facebook friends posted yet another comment calling Donald Trump a really nasty name. It was so disappointing because I thought he was beyond that. But the people now attacking our 45th president are coming out of the woodwork - AND BEHAVING IN WAYS THAT COMPLETELY DEFY REASON. Right now we are in the makings of what some have called a second Civil War. But, for certain, A FIGHT IS BREWING. Why is that?

During the eight years conservatives put up with Barack Obama his fans got really upset whenever any of his critics simply pointed out facts of stuff he had said, been or done. But no conservative, during either term, ever set himself on fire because of Barack taking the Oval Office. Conservative people aren’t big on name-calling either. That’s part of why we are conservative. If you really want to dent a conservative, simply legitimately win an argument with him. We yield to fair and factual debate. If you have a high school education or even just what’s left of a functional brain, you should know that when you start calling people names your argument has run out of gas. The expressed complaints of these 2016 losers are logically bankrupt.

The Obama Legacy

While the media continue to champion the legacy of former President Barack Obama, some of his signature policies are rapidly being ended or overturned by his successor, President Donald J. Trump. However, this does not mean that Obama’s policies weren’t a disaster for America during his tenure. Obama’s enduring legacy, far from a collection of his signature achievements, will be the decline of his own party and a lackluster economy, as well as the appeasement of dictators, and a world in chaos and disarray.

While it is Trump who has been frequently ridiculed—and he certainly uses Twitter to hit back—Obama took to Twitter to defend his legacy. He championed his economic policies, with “the longest streak of job growth in our history,” and how “today nearly every American now has access to the financial security of affordable health care.” Obama also claimed to have reestablished “U.S. leadership—leading with diplomacy & partnering with nations to meet global problems.”

Obama Actually Committed More Religious Discrimination than Any That Trump Is Accused of

Any intellectually honest people who care about immigration should be far more upset with President Obama’s immigration policies than President Trump’s

Syrian Christians constitute 10% of the Arabs in Syria, yet during the Obama administration, they constituted from .5% to 1% of the refugees permitted to escape into America from Syria. It is patently obvious that Christians face far greater persecution in Syria and other Arab countries than Muslims, so the statistic described above demonstrates clear discrimination against Christians by the Obama administration, based 100% on religion and 0% on counter-terrorism.  If anything, Christians are less likely than Muslims to be members of ISIS or Muslim fundamentalists or terrorists.

Trump Continues Obama’s Bad LGBT Executive Order

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The White House stated today that President Donald Trump will continue to enforce Obama’s bad executive order imposing the LGBTQ agenda on federal contractors. There is no federal employment statute that includes “sexual orientation” or “gender identity.” Congress has repeatedly rejected efforts to amend federal employment law to include “sexual orientation” or “gender identity.” The order, signed by former President Obama in 2014, imposes the LGBTQ agenda in the employment context for federal contractors.

Let those who want to support Planned Parenthood send money

I had an interesting email from a young and liberal friend this week. He raised a very good point, even though I don’t think that was his intent. He said, if you support Planned Parenthood, send them a donation, put your money where your mouth is. Excellent idea, I say.

Let’s take public support off the table as not all the public wants to or believes in funding Planned Parenthood. Then, let those who want to support Planned Parenthood send money. Seems like a perfect solution. Who can argue? There are certainly enough deep pockets between Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and George Soros cohorts I think they can do the job.

Planned Parenthood made their own bed by refusing to take abortion out of their list of services. As long as that is the case, there should be not taxpayer funds going to them. The solution is simple. One has to wonder why anyone is fighting it?

Strategery: Frightened Dems backing away from SCOTUS filibuster?

Uh-oh.  It appears there’s trouble in “ugly Hollywood.”  After promising that they would filibuster President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee - no matter who he or she was - it seems that cold feet have taken hold.  Dems may now be looking for a respectable way to back away from Chuck Schumer’s obstructionist plans.

Trump’s Terror Travel Ban Should Include Palestinians

Jews were among those protesting at American airports against the Trump Administration ban on visitors from terror-related Middle East countries.

Travel bans against Jews, specifically Israeli Jews, to Muslim countries continues on a daily basis without a murmur of protest from the American Jewish community or even from Israeli Jews. It is accepted as something normal that Jewish Israeli passport holders are blocked from entering Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Acting Attorney General refuses to enforce immigration ban. Trump correctly fires her immediately

Yesterday, we learned that the Acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, had refused to defend President Trump’s immigration ban because she "wasn’t sure" if it was constitutional.  It is, but let’s put that argument aside.  Yates had three choices. She could defend the EO as written, quit, or stay in her position and defy her boss.  She chose the latter.

...And she was, like most people who thumb their nose at their superiors, fired immediately.

Kaiser Permanente’s brave new world, narrated by Cokie Roberts

The Obamacare nightmare isn’t over yet. In fact, it may be getting worse.

My husband and I are self-employed. What that means is we are the canaries in the Obamacare mine, the policy guinea pigs, the marketplace lab rats – pick the puny, defenseless, experimented-upon animal of your choice.

Like Ann Coulter (see her Jan. 25 column, “Can I be the poster child against Obamacare?”), we’re the ones shelling out increasingly outrageous premiums to buy “Bronze” level insurance policies with nosebleed-inducing deductibles, coverage gaps, and dwindling provider options.

Meanwhile, our old college peers who choose to work fun, artsy, part-time jobs, or have family money or assets that don’t count as income, or are riding the government sinecure bus can’t stop cooing about how wonderful it is to pay next to nothing for their “Platinum” coverage.
