Trudeau won’t adopt Scheer’s plan to control the border

CPC leader Andrew Scheer has been relatively quiet this summer causing criticism from some conservatives. It seems the newly elected leader preferred to do the barbeque circuit rather than speak out against serious issues facing Canada such as the $10.5 million payment to terrorist Omar Khadr and the erasure by the Trudeau government of the country’s southern border.

Obamacare penalties for uninsured are higher than ever

One essential aspect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), better known as Obamacare, is the health insurance overhaul’s individual mandate. Under the 2010 law, Americans lacking health insurance coverage beginning in 2014 are required to pay a penalty. The Obama administration billed that penalty as a minor fine, but the numbers show otherwise.

ACORN Sues California To Allow More Illegals To Vote

An ACORN offshoot and other left-wing pressure groups are suing California in federal court because the state hasn’t made it easy enough for Democrats to flood voter rolls with illegal aliens and foreign nationals who aren’t legally eligible to vote.

Memphis theater cancels plans to show Gone With the Wind because of ‘racial concerns’

Anyone who would like to explain the difference between this and burning books, go ahead. Take it seriously. Don't give me, "One is a movie, there are no flames, etc." No. Take it seriously. If it's horrible for conservatives to burn books thought to be subversive because of left-wing themes or whatever, how is it any different that theaters are afraid to show Gone With the Wind:

Affirmative action is failing minority students

A new analysis of the top American universities by the New York Times finds that black and Hispanic students are more underrepresented in higher education than they were 35 years ago – despite affirmative action policies aimed at increasing college attendance for minorities.

CANCELLING PATRIOT PRAYER

Freedom of speech in America is under assault by the Left like never before. The constitutionally-suspect shutting down of Patriot Prayer's tiny, properly permitted rally at a federal park in San Francisco Saturday is yet more proof of the political ascendancy of the evil ultra-violent "antifa" street thug movement.

The Attack Of Rotten, Vicious Children In Grownup Bodies

Nearly a year ago I wrote the following narrative that first appeared in Canada Free Press. It works too well with this article not to use it again. Since I wrote this, I'm proud to say I have seen and heard this little vignette referred to by some brainy people I admire in both literary and audiovisual pieces they have done.

Mr. President, you’re showing me how hard the job would have been

I used to wonder what it would have been like if I had ended up in the White House as president, being a problem-solving business leader with no previous experience as a political office holder. I don't wonder anymore, because now I know. His name is President Donald J. Trump.

The Left’s Values Are Our State Church

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..." The First Amendment assumes that the proper sphere of government is policies, not values. And so it protects the right of political participation and prohibits a state church that would define values. The government had the right to decide to go to war with France. It did not have a right to decide what you should believe. Politics extended into the realm of policies, not beliefs. But as religious belief declined, politics replaced it as the repository of moral and ethical values. This transformation began on the left. The left was the least religious in the traditional sense. And the most likely to build up an ideology of secular values with which to displace traditional religious values.

Bolshevik-Style Cultural Purge

If you wondered about the deplorable state of American mis-education, all you have to do is look at the historical revisionist indoctrination in the textbooks, the classroom-forced Islamization of students, the Common Core standards that are dumbing down students across the board, and the Bolshevik-style cultural purge of Civil War monuments and heroes that are taking place around the country with the full approval and instigation from academia, the MSM, politicians, the current administration, and American citizens.

Callous CALAS activists against the poor

Not long ago, supposed "environmental justice" concerns at least involved risks to mine workers and their families. The risks may have been inflated, or ignored for decades, but they were a major focus.
