Untold numbers of people and families have escaped totalitarian and oppressive regimes with just the clothes on their backs. Some swam across treacherous rivers; some cut through barbed wire; some hid on the floorboard of a car, some fit into the carved out car seats; some walked across the desert, through dense forests, climbed mountainous terrain, or hiked into steep valleys.
If my boyhood best friend and mentor Jaybird hadn’t shown me how to tie hangman’s nooses, I wouldn’t have lynched Gloria’s dolls.
My sister’s passion was dolls. In her upstairs room, they cluttered her bed, dresser, and bookshelf. These weren’t ordinary five-and-dime Raggedy Ann dolls; they were aristocratic debutantes, celebrities, princesses, and queens.
In the past, we’ve discussed the fact that states like Vermont and California have toyed with the idea of statewide single-payer healthcare. Every time it comes up, it’s promoted, debated, and ultimately abandoned due to the absolutely insane costs involved.

It would be one thing if Tiger Woods was playing in the PGA Championship while wearing a MAGA hat and chirping at every occasion about the virtues of border walls and rage-tweets against Jeff Sessions.
But Tiger Woods hasn’t been doing anything of the sort. He’s just been playing golf. I’ll leave it to the golf fans to judge how well he’s been playing because the only thing I know about golf is that it’s hard to get the ball past that rotating windmill. But I do know that Woods has not been going around pontificating about politics.
'Bad guys' are not just in the movies, but are the ones getting away with atrocities of the most incredible kind in real life. Sometimes they even wear white.
Standing for the truth usually gets you nailed as a "whistleblower" and often gets you thrown into the lion's den by those living the lie.

The line in the sand has been drawn. You can either be a Democrat or an American, but you can no longer be both. And, there will come a time, sooner than you think, when you will have to choose. Choose wisely.
Is the Rot Unraveling in the Catholic Church? It appears this may be the case. But Pope Francis refuses to address this rot signifying that he is no leader.
Evil thrives in an environment of permissiveness and appeasement, as we have witnessed in Catholic parishes and dioceses throughout America. However, good priests and bishops who tried to expose the rot were cast aside, accused of mental instability and ruined, and/or laicized.

For the last week, this has been the message being delivered by virtually every prominent Democrat and NeverTrump Republican. No matter where you looked, you couldn’t help but read some variation of the same theme.

After President Trump asked Mike Pompeo to investigate what's going on in South Africa, the fake news media immediately went on the attack. They published articles criticizing the President for expressing his concern and empathy for the plight of white South African farmers, that live in fear of being murdered for their land and possessions. And, although the story has been widely publicized in Russia and Australia for years, the media has concealed it from the American people.
