Protesters in Hong Kong have delivered the most stunning rebuke to Chinese tyranny since the Tiananmen Square uprising of 1989. The question now, after eight weeks of demonstrations, is whether China’s dictator, President Xi Jinping, will respond with the same brute military force used to crush that democracy movement 30 years ago. Serious observers worry the backlash is coming.
For Mr. Xi, who took power in 2013, the situation in Hong Kong presents an immediate threat to his domestic political legitimacy. State repression, bolstered by staggering levels of high-tech surveillance, has increased under his rule. In China’s western province of Xinjiang, despite international protest, the regime has for two years been dishing out torture and forced political indoctrination to an estimated one million Uighur Muslims held in internment camps. Dealing harshly with Hong Kong’s protest movement would remind the city’s residents—and the rest of China—who’s boss.

After listening to the Democrat candidates for president, you'd think that anyone who enters our country illegally should not be treated as “criminals”, but should be embraced as future American citizens. In other words, they want to reward people who broke our immigration laws with sanctuary and possible future citizenship. That rewards bad behavior and is an open invitation to future law breakers to come to the United States and be welcomed with “freebies” and benefits that even our own citizens are not eligible for. That's a recipe for national disaster, and those Democrat candidates are championing that behavior.

As a black man who grew up in Baltimore, I am delighted that President Trump had the courage to shine the national spotlight on the failed Democrat-controlled city. Baltimore is a mess, as is every city infected with Democrats' extreme leftist ideology.
In response to Trump's tweet exposing the moral sickness of Baltimore, Democrats and their fake news media buddies are scrambling for cover, like roaches when someone turns on the light. In typical fashion, leftists think they can silence Trump with bogus accusations of racism. Thankfully, that crap does not work on Trump. It energizes him to triple down on spreading the truth.
There isn’t a day goes by without the Progressive Left branding someone with whom they disagree politically as “racist.” Someone please tell me what’s racist about pointing out that the city of Baltimore, or Chicago, or Detroit or any other large urban center in America, is a disgraceful dump, rife with poverty, crime and violence because corrupt politicians have made it so. The fact that the overwhelming majority of these cities are run by Democrats doesn’t logically translate into racism, unless it’s also that a large number of politicians governing these jurisdictions are black.
I was surprised to hear media talking heads and politicians say they felt sorry for Robert Mueller during his testimony in Congress. Some of them called Mueller a hero for serving in the military and thanked him for his service. It didn't seem to matter to them that Mueller has taken sides with communists who are determined to transform America into another Soviet Union. If Mueller is a hero, using their logic, then so is Benedict Arnold.
In fact, the capture of Fort Ticonderoga in 1775 was led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold. Arnold led the battle of Valcour Island in 1776 and the Battle of Ridgefield, Connecticut in 1777. At the battle of Saratoga in 1777, he suffered severe leg wounds that left him disabled. Arnold even used his own money to finance the American revolution. His service to America was certainly more impressive than Mueller's. Why not praise Benedict Arnold for his service?
I saw the wonderful movie ‘Yesterday’ yesterday, but then realized how racist it was because there was nothing negative in it about President Trump.
