Taxpayers Federation warns of debt spiral as federal debt approaches $1,000,000,000,000

OTTAWA, ON: Canada’s debt will hit $1 trillion within weeks, according to the Fall Economic Statement, and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling on Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to release a credible budget to control spending. “A trillion dollars in debt is a sadly historic milestone and our kids and grandkids will be stuck with these bills,” said Aaron Wudrick, Federal Director for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. “It’s inexcusable that the Trudeau government has gone more than 20 months without so much as presenting a budget because Canadians deserve a credible plan to get runaway spending under control.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – California Governor Gavin Newsom must respond by 5:00 p.m. ET today to an emergency petition filed by Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry. Justice Elana Kagan issued the order to Gov. Newsom in response to the churches’ request to the U.S. Supreme Court for an injunction pending appeal in their federal lawsuit against the governor’s unconstitutional worship ban and discriminatory treatment. The discrimination has become more obvious and severe in Gov. Newsom’s new “Blueprint” issued on August 28, 2020, which established a system of four Tiers. The “Blueprint” discriminates against religious meetings in churches and places of worship in every Tier. The chart attached to the petition makes this discrimination very clear.

We witnessed governors, judges, election officials and postal supervisors changing voting laws and regulations, although the Constitution, the law of land, clearly states that only state legislatures have the power to change election laws.
