Ten or fifteen years ago Rush Limbaugh made a comment that struck me as odd at the time. He made the point that when churches started adopting terms such as social justice and equality of outcome, people should not walk away, but run away from that church. His reasoning was that this was the beginning of that institution’s move away from the word of God and replacing it with the word of man. I didn’t understand it then, but I sure get it now.
It was a decade ago when I wrote a book about my life under communism – education, religion, lack of freedoms, lack of food, lack of human rights, deprivation of basic travel, necessities, water, toilet paper, medicine, the horrible free medical system that was not worth having, bad hospitals, bad doctors, the lack of drugs and vitamins in pharmacies, the awfully crowded and miserable public transportation, the constant policing, the “socialist scientific” indoctrination in schools, and many more.
When lawless mobs impulsively loot, commit arson, and kill the innocent, police can often restore order only with lethal force. But when cops run out of ammunition, what happens to social order at that point? The current situation in South Africa provides a real-world example.
