The United Nations (UN) General Assembly needs to stop its pious bleating and move to immediately set up a network of Ukrainian-dedicated agencies to try and force Russia to end its invasion and occupation of Ukraine – adopting the same model it has established in trying to force Israel’s withdrawal from Judea and Samaria (West Bank) over the last 50 years.
The General Assembly has failed in Israel’s case – because:
American Sabotage: Since every Biden policy is failed, it's obvious the purpose of Joe's administration is American sabotage. What liberals have to gain from sabotage is pulling the US out of our established position as leader of the free world and forcing us into world Utopia.
Underwriting Terrorists: To not simply abandon Afghanistan, but to scuttle billions in weapons, to reject military agreements and to even evacuate unknown Afghani's while ignoring Americans was shocking. But Biden had to make his point – America is not special and cannot be counted on by allies for even the simplest aid. And now we must watch Ukraine get pummeled using outdated weapons, or none at all, while remembering how we abandoned $80 billion in advanced arms for Muslim radicals is sickening.
Something is wrong. And I’m not talking about the screenshots going around purporting to show cardboard weapons in the hands of Ukraine civilians or the death of someone a few years ago dying again in the Ukraine; I’m talking about major in-your-face news outlets working overtime on WAR.
I’m writing this Sunday night (2/27), so who knows what new gobs of insanity will be spit up by tomorrow morning, when we post.
These are notes. The news is coming too fast and furious---each proclamation more preposterous than the last.
Bottom line: I’m not buying what they’re selling. I’m not buying what I’m seeing. I’m not buying what I’m not seeing.
Vladimir Putin moved his troops on Joe Biden’s clear signal, giving him a free hand to fulfill his yen to reconstitute Russian control of Ukraine, and that was the demolition of America’s energy independence that’s forced US to purchase fuel from, who else but... Russia.
In an effort to kick Republican candidates off the ballot for the crime of supporting Donald Trump, Democrats are reaching back more than 150 years to a rarely invoked constitutional provision designed to prevent Confederates from serving in Congress.
Democrats and a handful of Trump Derangement Syndrome-suffering Republicans claim the disturbance on January 6, 2021, that delayed formal congressional certification of the 2020 presidential election results for several hours, was an insurrection or rebellion aimed at overthrowing the United States government.
Facts are no impediment to this durable leftist fantasy.
During the last two years Americans and the world have learned some pretty harsh lessons. Institutions we grew up with, and heretofore, trusted implicitly have demonstrated that they are no longer trustworthy and probably haven’t been for longer than we care to admit. America has a long history of extreme patience when we see things going sideways. In our traditional cultural optimism, we expect most situations to self-correct. That optimism isn’t necessarily misplaced, because many things will self-correct. But, when they don’t self-correct, we are often left with a massive problem, and correction is not easy.
President Joe Biden has failed to deliver on my promise to unify the country or restore our reputation abroad, but he did follow through on his commitment to nominate an African American woman to the United States Supreme Court. In the middle of an international crisis he exacerbated, Biden announced his selection of Ketanji Brown Jackson, a far-left judge with an atrocious record on the bench.
As Biden promised, Jackson was nominated due to her gender and race, not her judicial qualifications. This decision perverts the entire Supreme Court nomination process. Instead of choosing the best qualified nominee for the most important court in the country, a selection was made due to a judicial affirmative action process and to satisfy a perceived need for a racial and gender quota system on the Supreme Court.
Jackson is a Democratic Party activist masquerading as a judge. Even NBC News admitted that Jackson “fits well (with) the progressive movement’s agenda.”
Apocalypse Kiev: In biblical religions there are essential elements of prophetic and messianic symbolism involving past and future events tied into the important apocalyptic events. This is true of Judaism, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant and Muslim beliefs. Vlad Putin, after gaining ultimate power, supposedly had a Christian religious experience causing him now to wear a crucifix. But leftism, with its humanist conceit, is still prone to savior delusions. For example, British father of socialism, atheist industrialist Robert Owens, founded the socialist Utopia of New Harmony, Indiana – then came to believe he was the necessary messiah:
When times are a little difficult, it just makes good sense to be more careful about how we allot our limited resources. These days there are plenty of reasons to be concerned about our resources, what with inflation a serious concern, international conflict that affects energy prices, covid restrictions, political upheavals, etc.
Take inflation, for example. If you regularly do the shopping for your clan you have seen, especially over the past two months, that prices are changing in a major way. During the first two years of covid there were spotty shortages and supply problems that resulted in certain items going up. Beef was a good example. Where I shop, filet mignon is $27.99 per pound now, down from $29.99!. Ground beef is $5.99 or more. Chuck roast is $6.99 per pound. Chicken breast is $5.99 per pound. Bread suddenly went up by nearly a third. Practically everything in the store has gone up noticeably. Inflation results in higher prices across the board, not just on a few things.
Canada and the US are not used to dictators, even would-be ones, but the hitherto free countries through a fluke of political history allowed Trudeau and Biden to assume unprecedented powers. By promoting hysteria about climate and COVID both politicians have declared war upon ordinary people. While Putin has invaded an essentially benign neighbor that suffered the Holodomor the last time Moscow went crazy.
All three politicians have gone renegade, which being against the basic traditions of individual freedom and limited government, could be in each case or collectively one of the greatest blunders in a hundred years. It was that long ago when Eastern Europe embraced communism and the West began to be beguiled by progressivism.

Messianic Mess: The Messianic character is not unknown in Russian culture, as illustrated by Leo Tolstoy, one of history's great authors, of War & Peace, etc. Paul Johnson described Tolstoy as "God's elder brother." But Vlad Putin, world's wealthiest kleptocrat may have passed beyond this territory into George Soros illusions of salvation. Is Vlad crazy? Even the Intelligencer asks: "Is Putin Sane?"
The Russian invasion of Ukraine may already be running out of gas, if the video posted by one citizen is any indication.
The minute-long clip shows a man driving up to a group of soldiers and what appears to be a Russian tank, stopped on a rural road. “Are you guys broken down?” the man asks the soldiers.
The distance to total world disaster has never been closer than it is right now. All brought to you by the Democrat Party... a political party turned into a maniacal criminal organization. It is not some crazy presumption. Almost every problem you see in the news was avoidable. The risk of world war, the pandemic and the deaths, the inflation, the loss of energy independence, the massive crime, the invasion of unvetted immigrants, the millions of private businesses destroyed; all would not have occurred had Trump assumed the presidency he rightly won.
It would be interesting to see what grades Joe Biden and Kamala Harris received in history when they were in high school and college. Based on their handling of the crisis in Ukraine, I would be inclined to believe they failed miserably. Unfortunately, there are many people who don’t have an appreciation of history, especially the period surrounding World War II.
Why is humankind so bent on destruction? Why so apathetic in the face of annihilating warfare, repeated massive oil spills and choking urban smog? Equally awful is the “Plastic Soup” in our oceans.
A picture of a Hawaiian beach reveals the folly of humans. It shows a huge amount of plastic washed ashore – an insult to a beautiful beach. Such ocean garbage is a serious hazard for sea life. Don’t believe the rest us are immune to this environmental disaster. Our lives, too, depend on our oceans.
Small planktonic organisms, through photosynthesis, transform carbon in air and seawater into organic compounds, an essential element of Earth's carbon cycle. They generate about half the atmosphere's oxygen, as much per year as all land plants. Plankton also provides a food source for marine animals. But studies show plastic particles are also being ingested by these animals. This poses a major problem for us all.
THERE ARE MANY STORAGE DEPOTS ALL OVER THE UKRAINE, WHERE DANGEROUS AND BANNED PESTICIDES HAVE BEEN KEPT BADLY FOR YEARS.
Bombing and shelling that happens to strike these depots would cause devastating consequences.
In 2009, I researched the problem of pesticides in the Ukraine. Use is not the only issue; so is storage. And the scope and danger are huge.
Here is what I found:
They seem to bounce and wobble from one side to the next. The drugged-out, half-alive skeletons of Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia make their way past erected tents and filthy sidewalks en route to their next fix.
How Kensington Avenue, a poverty-stricken place in one of the most impoverished cities in the country, gets away with brazenly being the center of one of the largest open-air narcotics markets in The United States is frightening, bewildering, and telling.
It's a race to the city morgue for so many inhabitants of Kensington injecting themselves in broad daylight. And with so many new places like Kensington popping up across the country, the question is, which Democrat-run city will emerge as the most prolific killer of American youth.
