Hyundai is resuming sales of the 2026 Palisade SUV, which were paused in March following the death of a two-year-old girl. The automaker issued a recall for the Palisade's top-level Calligraphy and Limited trims and issued a stop-sale order to dealers on March 13.
Hyundai confirmed to Car and Driver that sales are resuming now that it has finalized a software fix related to the second- and third-row seats. According to Hyundai, the fix can be sent via an over-the-air update to affected vehicles with an active Bluelink subscription, though customers without Bluelink or who would prefer to have the dealer install the update can reach out to their local dealership. Once dealers complete the software update on impacted vehicles in their inventory, they'll be allowed to resume sales. ---More...
