As a retired engineer, there is a simpler witness. Each tower was erected upon 20 steel needles around 1300 feet long. You cannot crush a needle by pressing down on it. Even if they folded, they would still be hundreds of feet in length; but they were not there, were chopped up. Again, the normal collapse of a building leaves a pile of debris about 10% of the height of the building. The pile was less than 40 feet deep, not 130 feet deep as expected. The rest was apparently turned into dust.
