Roe draft raises question gubernatorial, all candidates must answer: Will you protect State's rights?

America First' is 'States First'

The following statement will doubtless get me in trouble: Set aside all of the hullabaloo about abortion, whether it's right or wrong. Why? Because the leaked opinion on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health is more far-reaching than the murdering of babies in, and in other barbarous cases, outside the womb. It will be hard to let go of this emotionally-driven issue to reach the hard nut inside the probable ruling, but here it is… states' rights, which is ultimately the expression of the people's rights that can nullify the federal “authority.”

If Putin nukes Washington DC, he'll be doing us enormous GOOD. Hey Vlad, while you're at it how about taking out NYC, Seattle, Portland and Chicago. Problems solved. DUMP FEDERALISM. Save our children's future.

Good morning Dru,
I like the way you are providing a solution based response, to an emotional issue, in this article. It is brilliant, IMO. And you are working it from within as opposed to from without. I don’t think you’ll “get into trouble” with your solution based thinking.
The issue of federalism, handled satirically or not, can be dealt with in another missive.
Best,
James

SCOTUS has repeatedly negated the states' rights to nullify federal law from its inception. Perhaps this last attempt at restitution of that right comes with realisation of how egregiously the federal government has usurped states' rights , with SCOTUS' connivance. We all learn from bitter experience.
From the beginning of this brouhaha about " women's rights " ( being trampled into the dirt by Tran's rights ) one felt there had to be a more sinister motive for the regime -promoted outrage, than the apparent primitive urge to human sacrifice.
