The hysteria yesterday morning on Capitol Hill was deafening. The Left--and yes, a couple spineless Republicans--were wringing their hands over what they call a “deficit-exploding” piece of legislation. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries filibustered for over seven hours spewing falsehoods about the Big Beautiful Bill, but in the end he actually helped the Republicans. As he spoke, GOP leadership brought doubters on board and after the dust settled the Big Beautiful Bill passed 218-214.
