At MP Blaine Calkins' press conference, NHPPA President Shawn Buckley delivered an urgent message: the fight to restore Bill C-224 is about far more than regulatory changes. For many Canadians, access to natural health products is a matter of their health and, as Shawn emphasized, their very lives.
Shawn raised concerns about Health Canada's relationship with the pharmaceutical industry and urged Canadians to create enough public pressure that the government cannot ignore their calls to protect access to natural health products.
The next critical date is December 3, when report stage begins. We have a limited window to make our voices heard.
